    @ NetsForce- I did start with taxes first but now since I am testing on 8/31 don’t have much time left to finish business law. It took me a while to understand taxes. I am kinda comfortable with 80-90% on it and doing ok on Ethics & Responsibilities but business law I am lost.

    I haven’t used any other review course but Roger and must admit that some of the techniques / short cuts that he gives in lecture to calculate gain/ losses , basis, Liquidation and non liquidating distributions and more is really helpful.

    AUD:78-5/13
    FAR:84-10/20
    REG:79- 12/5
    BEC:Feb
    CAL Candidate

    What a coincidence, I'm also taking the exam on 8/31. I'm kind of the opposite though I feel comfortable with most of the law, but parts of the taxes I keep getting mixed up (studied out of the Wiley book + Becker Book, have Yaeger lectures + Ninja Notes, but didn't use the lectures and kind of regretting it).

    You could probably streamline your study of the law portion by specifically studying the items mentioned on the CSO, but based on my experience with BEC law seems like a section where they could slip in a lot of nuances, good luck though!

    @Qlad

    I'd definitely be familiar with Documents of Title and the different securities acts. The specific entity sections” you should still read, but probably have some familiarity with already due to pass courses, common sense, etc.

    I think you should be able to grasp chapter 8 after 1 and 2, but if I were you I'd leave 8 for last. It's a lot of loose ends.

    Take REG tomorrow and so nervous!!!

    Weak in the following tax areas: AMT for Corps and Individuals, Uniform Rules

    Also, I am pretty much weak in law. I feel like my brain does not work that way.

    However, I am working on more C Corp and Pships stuff today since tax is suppose to be 60% of exam.

    I am strong/feel most comfortable with in DRD, Like Kind Exchange, Casualty Loss, Charitable Contributions… (I am really hoping my test is filled with these).

    Hoping by the end of today I can be real strong in distributions and basis for both Pship and Corp. And semi strong in ethics and CPA liability.

    Any Advice? How is everyone else feeling?!

    Just got out REG exam! So glad it's over with! The MCQ's were not bad. They did test heavily on 2 topics that I should of studied more. Sigh. The SIMS were quite ridiculous and long!!! Make sure you leave enough time for the SIMs. They were pretty brutal. Either way I am moving on to BEC! Good luck to everyone still left taking the exam!

    hey guys …i am panicked bcoz when they tell you theoretically about a situation and when u have to calculate there are many different things to consider

    Example IRA deductions…i found that actual calculation can mess u up but the question asked conceptually may not be very difficult…hopefully i will understand with practice but for now i am feeling i will fail already… although I am still on ch 1 of becker and trembling what will be next…

    @justwannabeacpa

    All the best!!! just be brave and u will be perfectly fine…
