Anyone have a good article or source on calculating tax liability for a consolidated subsidiary based on the relative taxable income and relative tax liability approaches? It sounds pretty straight forward, but what if one subsidiary has a NOL?

Most magnificent day out today. I am staying inside and studying…If that isn't motivation to kick this exams a$$ i don't know what is!

Agency Law today and maybe corp tax, i really really hate corp tax so i should get cracking on it….

This week i need to get 3 good nights of studying in because next weekend i am out of town I am going to try do lots of NINJA reading and Listening, plus some questions on my CPA for Free app.

This is my 2nd attempt at the exam, I had two parts passed (failed many) and I stupidly quit, big mistake. Now I'm back and with a vengeance!

@LSNYC – Thanks so much. I don't want to give up working out because I think it helps. I just sat down and got my study plan together for my remaining 4 weeks. If I can stick to it, I can get through all the homework in the next 7 days and have a full 3 weeks to go through them all again and do some test bank questions. I think I'll set aside a weekend for SIMS…since I seem to do better on them (if they are anything like FAR…I scored comparable both times I took FAR even though I didn't pass). I tend to always be weaker in MCQ cause I psych myself out. It's good to know you'll be around…maybe I'll hit you up again when I'm feeling down in the dumps 😉

I just got my result today morning and I didn't clear REG (this was my 4th attempt)!! It is jinxed and I'm not able to get past REG. Any suggestions/advice regarding change in material or techniques are highly welcome. I'm currently using Becker material and Wiley test bank. I want to know if the Ten point combo is really effective before I decide to buy the package. Also I'm on the family way and my due date is in August. So I guess I'm just going to take it easy until the baby is here and then re-start the CPA journey.. Just disappointed! 🙁

Use the following for reg source: US master's tax guide ( free @ paychex.com) also use taxalmanac.org (Taxation forum – They troll you though for not having a bio so fill one out :). GL.
