    vital,

it tells you that he purchased it at a church bazaar and that the FMV was much lower than the purchase price. you should be able to infer from those two points that it was a charitable organization.

@KDunc Exactly my thoughts!! How many people does it take to sign one check! Ridiculous! lol

@DC, I read your REG exam experience….all I can say is YIKES & WTH! Sigh my exam is tomorrow morning. Just going to review my notes, take the simulated REG exam, and hope for the best.

Based on the exam experiences in the REG forum, seems like there may be a lot of “retakes” in October 🙁

So this is probably a dumb question..

But does anyone else get confused when inputting numbers into a simulation. When the answer has a drop down for gain or loss, and then you input the amount in the next cell, are you supposed to put a negative sign if its a loss? Really dumb question, i know, but Becker solutions show the following

    Solution: Long term, Loss, 82000

So if we put Loss, and (82,000) would that be wrong? SO dumb, i know, but I dont want to lose points for something silly like this

    BEC - 81
    FAR - 81
    AUD - 85
    REG - ???????????

I hope I don't get an E&P calculation where you have to determine E&P by adding/deducting items from taxable income. It is so confusing and I just can't make sense of it. I'd rather get an AMT calculation.
