@ Mrs Bing – If you have done sufficient amount of MCQ's then yes – practice the SIMs before your exams 🙂

Took REG today and omg was it tough. I got rocked on the sims. I left 2 practically blank and 1 I maybe got 5% right. I'm praying one of those was a test question. Like someone else on here said, do not underestimate the sims. Way harder than Beckers. I ran out of time I there wasn't much I could do. Praying for a miracle!

And for everyone who is worried about exemption amounts from 2012 to 2013, don't. They will not test you on specific exemptions and such that change, just the concept. If they do, they will provide you the amount to use.

I think everyone needs to calm down a little bit about the 2013 standards vs the 2012 standards. I highly doubt the AICPA is going to set out to intentionally try and trick everyone and will make it obvious what standards they are looking for in the question. I doubt you're going to see a question like,

Jeff has AGI of 100,000, what is the minimum medical expenses Jeff will need to claim as a deduction?

    A) 10,000

    B) 7,500

    C) 0

    D) a billion

They are most likely going to make it known that they are looking for 2012 or 2013 or they will just leave the 2012 choice out of the question.

Everyone freaking out needs to understand that there only so many changes and that is only going to account for, at most, a couple of questions on the exam.

I think to keep clear and avoid any confusion they will tell you which one to use at least for now. They don't want to know which one you have cram whether 10 or 7.5%….lol……but do you understand the concept and how to apply it in a particular situation.

    FAR:84-10/20
    REG:79- 12/5
