Yes denver2013, I am trying to talk myself into reading notes tonight and retaking the exam on Jan 2 or 3…since we have to wait 48 hours to reschedule, I guess I have time to wallow in my misery…

yeah, i want to retake it as soon as possible, but i want to find the 2014 score release schedule first and take it on the last day for the first score release wave.

also, to make it worse, my Becker expired (with no option to be extended), so i just purchased a ton of mcq's and sim's from CPA Review for Free and it seems like it's very comprehensive, so as long i as i do them all, i HOPE i will be okay next time.

keep your chin up. it will be all worth once it's all said and done.

Yep I am in the boat of getting a 70 in REG. Sitting in Jan as well but I think I will go for the second wave so will aim to sit around Jan 27th.

I still have FAR to do. I would have liked to do it end of Feb but seeing that is a monster – i would rather get more time and sit it in the first wave of April.

Sounds like a good plan InsiWinsi…I want to finish before Q2 because my AUD expires in May…I am going to give it all I have…after I feel like crap for the next two days…my notes are still in my car staring at me, I'm going to give them a big smack before I start studying, lol

BEC expires in Aug for me so I really need to get REG done in Jan. so that i have April/May for FAR and an option to do FAR in July if unsuccessful in Q2.

If not, then I was thinking of purchasing 2013 review materials to save some money. Also, I've had used Becker for the other 3 sections and didn't have any problems. For whatever reason, I've used Becker on REG and I just can't seem to pass despite doing well on the problems and such (74 first time and 71 this past window).

Does anyone have any other tips or suggestions? Are there any other review materials that have enabled you to pass REG? I would appreciate any advice.

REG will not change in Jan 2014.

The changes will happen in “JULY” 2014.

So you should be fine with your 2012 books. Infact if you have the Ninja notes for 2013 (updated from July 2013) then that will cover all the updates you seriously need to know 🙂

If you are seriously wanting to change up your material – i would recommend Wiley – Perhaps you can get a 2013 Wiley book and also the Wiley test bank. It is not expensive (compared to Becker) and many people have found Wiley is great resource in preparing for the exam.
