KenadaMember@ lmr83 this is the study group thread 🙂 Just say active on the thread and participate as much as you can. If you have questions where you don't understand why it is A instead of C ask us here. Post the question for all to see and someone is bound to know why it is A.
Many times someone will be able to explain the reason why so much more simpler than the books or lectures so its useful to be part of the group.
@ NYC you are welcome.
I couldn't find any updates for Wiley but I am using the Becker updates to supplement my Wiley material. Since this is a retake for me I can assure you what Becker has is what is being reflected on the exams. Its not to hard. I just did all the questions from the Wiley book and I just remembered that the numbers for 2013 are slightly different. Nothing to be super worried about.
The exam will not trick you by giving you 2012 number. They will use 2013.

KenadaMemberI agree – the book does seem harder. So personally I would do the whole book first and then the test bank. It sort of sets me up for being able to tackle the test bank and also helps me understand why I got the questions wrong in the first place
I do one question look at the answer. read all the wrong answers and the right one. If i got it wrong i would flip back to the notes part of the Wiley book read that page and then make a note or a nugget fact list.
Everyone learn differently. I learn best like this 🙂

AnonymousInactiveI'm taking REG in early May, but will be studying little by little starting in January (I have to take a Corporate Tax class in the Spring because I have 4 more classes to take to be licensed and if I sit out one more semester I'll lose my student status and will have to reapply). I'm hoping that simultaneously studying for the Corporate Tax class and the REG exam at the same time will help make sure I only have to take this exam once. I'll be following along with the Jan/Feb study group. Hopefully this thread will be more useful than the previous study thread I was on. It seems REG usually has the most comments/questions. Yes–I've been stalking all the threads for a while. 🙂 Good luck to all and I hope you have a great Thanksgiving weekend!!!

KenadaMemberI noticed that too!! actually when i was doing AUD in July we had an awesome group.
For FAR I did notice it hasn't picked up.
I am game to be really proactive if the rest are. Of course I will be studying to take my exam in Jan but I hope that when I post up sample questions that make my head spin – folks here can chime in on how they got the right answer or why all the others are wrong from the options. 🙂
