    @Nevergiveup2012

    Thanks, your comments and references def. helped.

    Regarding your question of partner's charity, I agree with your thought there as 1065/K/K1 diagram in Becker (R4-15) clearly says Charitable contribution go directly to partner's K1. If you provide the Q# in becker, I can look into it further.

    @ pia ach

    I would remember both 2013 and 2012 rules;

    2013: Limit $25K, $-$ reduction starts $200K

    2012: Limit $125K, $-$ reduction starts $500K

    @ No1 Thanks for your reply…i had remembered totally different numbers ..Limit being $139,000, as long as total purchases do not exceed $560,000. However Yaeger mentions it as Limit of $ $500,000/ 2,000,000…i was not sure between those two, can you tell me which book you are referring to?

    2012 numbers are from Becker. But I just did some research and noted the numbers have changed again. Check out the below website, apparently the numbers have changed again since 1/2/2013 (for both 2013 and 2012) so I highly doubt we will be tested on specific numbers for section 179.

    Well I took my first Becker final exam. I found it to be much much harder that any of the MC study questions. Needless to say I'm horrified by my results especially since I have my exam on the 28th. I'm curious to get other people's opinions on the Becker final exams. Did you find it to be harder than the study questions? Here are my results.

    @CPA-slave – i believe Jeff's question is more steered towards contract laws then specifically leases.

    @msmeyer – I believe you're right – it may be too late to buy wiley and try a new approach but i guess i'l see how 28th goes for me and hopefully it works out. If not, i'll utilize Wiley's test bank. I tried reading REG NINJA notes – i am not able to follow them :(. I was able to follow them perfectly for the Audit portion.

    @No 1 – i was referring to Becker MCQ – CPA-04929 The part that confuses me is the computation for the basis to determine the max ordinary loss he is allowed to deduct. Junior's basis per the answer key is 40,000+12,500 capital gain -5,000 charitable contrib = 47,500. I understand that capital gain increases the basis, but why charitable contrib decreases your basis?

    BEC - 86 (8/31/12)
    AUD - 97 (11/18/12)
    REG - 83 (5/12/13)
    FAR - 91 (12/2/13)
    Done!!!

    I can't find this question in Becker 2012. If you have 2013 Becker then its prob one of the newly added questions. Someone with 2013 Becker may be able to share their thoughts…

    @Soon2BCPA127 – The Ninja notes work best with the audio for REG. I felt the same way but after listening to the audio several times (I've taken this test three times today), I could already hear Jeff's voice as I read the notes (freaky, huh?). I think he elaborates a lot more in the audio.

    BTW – today's exam wasn't so good. As advice to you, make sure to look at all topics. Don't think one topic is more important than others. I'm hoping I feel this horrible now but then get great news about passing. 🙂

    I wish everyone here the best on the exam!

    BEC - 86
    FAR - 76
    AUD - 73, 86
    REG - 61, 73, 82

    DONE!!
