Hi all. I just started studying for REG, and WOW I’m overwhelmed.
I’m using Yaeger (where Phil just reads straight from the book – not much help there) and law is first. Honestly I’m worried about the tax section, but first things first – there is SO much in just the first module of law (professional responsibility and legal responsibilities). I typically use notecards for my “final” notes, but there are so many lists with like 10-15 sub-topics/bullet points it’s unreal. this module isn’t terrible as there is a lot of carryover from AUD, but if I had to memorize it all…well, it wouldn’t happen…mainly because in looking at the next however many modules, it looks like the same thing! no way can I memorize 10-15 bullet points each on 10 different topics per module. all of this BEFORE tax.
or that’s how I see it anyway. any advice and/or tips on how to study for the law section? if it’s anything like FAR or AUD, you need to know all of the “bullet points” or lists in a given section as you can have a question on any one of these. but there are so many it doesn’t seem reasonable to memorize it all.
maybe i’m just blowing it out of proportion…just frustrated i guess. and i typically do pretty well with memorization.
thanks
