I’m starting to go stir crazy completely over-analyzing my REG experience. For those of you who have passed REG, have any of you felt like the testlets didn’t really get harder and had relatively short questions (less than 3-4 sentences)? A good chunk of my MCQs consisted of fairly short conceptual questions. I’m hoping that I just got that kind of exam but need to know if I’m being delusional.

I’m hoping that I’ll be pleasantly surprised next week.

Took REG today first testlet all very short second and third all long….I wouldn't stress…my FAR exam I felt like the whole mcq part was easy…and I passed….I hate this part I want my score :). What did you think of sims?

I felt good about 3 Sims and I think I did get the research question but 2 of the some were absolutely ridiculous and I pretty much just guessed my way through. I know I felt the same way when I finished BEC & AUD but I feel like it should have been getting obviously harder for REG.

I felt like I got the research tab and two of the sims I was pretty confident about…the others I had some parts I thought I got parts right…which is better than when I took FAR…I had left some of them blank lol

KasiaS – you got this, STAY CONFIDENT!!! and stop looking at your notes and reviewing stuff.. “You are DONE” and that's the attitude you should take until the official scores come out which will confirm you are done.

Go have a glass of wine if you drink, if not have a glass of juice or water.. LOL.. You got this!!!!!!

Kasia – I swear, for AUD I didn't get a single MCQ longer than two sentences. Most of them were only one sentence. The SIMS were brutally easy. I was certain I got three easy testlets and was headed for a 72. I was shocked when I received my score…..you really can never tell with these things.

Wish me luck for tomorrow. Just took my Klonopin so now I'm over and OUTTTTT.

Used Becker for all four parts. Supplemented it with Wiley Test Bank for FAR and REG (HIGHLY recommended) and NINJA notes.

My testlets didn't seem to get harder either, they were all about the same as far as I could tell… and the questions seemed pretty straight-forward, not too long and complicated. This was my first test (REG), so I wasn't sure what to expect, but I did expect the 2nd testlet to be noticeably harder since the first one seemed pretty easy to me. Either I really screwed up, or I really knew what I was doing!

For the sims, they were all very straight-forward and nothing I had not seen. I had one where I was like “what??? – this is it?”. It was so easy.. could not believe it was a sim.

The waiting is killing me too!

@Stella, I feel the same way. When I took FAR, the 2nd and 3rd testlets did seem to get a tad more complicated so I was comforted and I expected REG to be the same since that one has more calculations. At the same time BEC and AUD didn't get harder at all. Just one more week of waiting!

@Kaisa S – I felt that my 2nd testlet was more difficult, but my 3rd was insanely easy. No questions longer than like 2 sentences and hardly any calculations. I don't think that is a good sign, but I have no idea how much to look into it. Which testlet was easy for you?

They all felt fairly easy to me honestly, I feel like the 2nd and 3rd did have more calculations but only slightly more. If I had to rank it, I think the 2nd was a tad harder/wordier and 1 and 3 were roughly comparable. I know to pass, you only need to get one “hard” testlet but, as with AUD and BEC, all 3 testlets seemed to be short and easy.

FAR has been the only exam where I could tell it got harder. I couldn't tell if it got harder on BEC and I still passed. I couldn't tell if REG got harder or not…..this could be because my mind doesn't have enough time to worry about whether a testlet is getting harder. I'm just rolling with the punches and trying to answer each question as best as I can in the allotted time.

We'll find out next week 🙂

I took REG recently as well and didn't really pay attention to whether the MCQs were getting harder or not, but in general felt pretty blown away by conceptual questions that I didn't study in Becker's review. I feel like I spent so much time memorizing tax rules that made up such a small portion of the exam. This is my first so I don't really know what to expect, so for now I'm hoping that all my studying prepared me to answer the questions well enough.

I felt that my sims were pretty easy though so hopefully that will make up for it 🙂
