Anyone have a REG score they could share when they didn’t study at all? I am trying to determine where I am at. I received a 53 on my first REG exam but didn’t study anything. I was working on a huge audit and study time just wasn’t in my schedule. Starting to freak out about my exam next week. Currently, I am in review mode and have a 5 day weekend coming up to study.

    I think I can find 22 points by studying…

You will probably have a better grasp at where you are by looking at your study materials….

    REG 65,85
    FAR 7/1/13
    AUD 8/24/13

I took Audit two years ago because it was expiring and I wanted to get a feel for it… I didn't study and received a 43. I am now studying my booty off trying to get past the darn 60's and pass!!!

@dem Remember you need 75 points, not 22.

    Best wishes!

If you're looking for the shortest possible distance from point A to B, I think you should spend more time with your book and less time deciding how many hours to study.

REG is tough… just put the time in over the next 5 days to minimize the risk of failing and having to re-take it again.

    Good luck.

I have to agree with GreenMonkey. REG isn't really common sense, you have to know the material.

Know as much of the tax rules as you can, they can be tricky.

    Good Luck!

    REG 4/20/2013- 86
    AUD 5/31/2013- 98
    FAR 7/15/2013- 84
    BEC 8/1/2013- Waiting

I have about 150 hours into studying REG. Not looking for the shortest point. I have been living and breathing this crap for 2 months.

I sat for FAR without studying at all and got a 41. I retook after studying about 200 hours (10 weeks) and got a 74. I got a cram review, put in another 6 weeks and scored an 85. FAR is more common sense and very close to my profession. So… I really thought I would have done better the first time, definitely thought I would have passed the second.

    Good Luck!
