So I am in complete shock at my score notification. My 74 was actually a result of being weaker in the MCQs and 2 other areas. I got comparable in the SIMS! I was so sure I would get weaker in the SIMS simply because I felt confident on maybe 1 of them and I had like 2 whole SIMS with zero’s in the fields. They must have been the pre-test ones because I don’t get it.
As upset as I was receiving that 74, at least I have hope that I can pass it next time by really nailing down MCQs. My average trending score on the NINJA MCQs was 74.5% (crazy how accurate NINJA MCQ is proving to be!), but I need to be shooting for an 85% average!
The other areas I got weaker on were Business Law and Individual Taxation. This makes sense because I skipped the Business law lectures and I don’t think I did enough questions on that area. I was scoring the lowest on the BUL topics on NINJA as well. Individual tax I guess makes sense because it was the first topic I studied and maybe I did not review the details well enough before test day. But I am actually shocked I did better on corporate tax than individual. All those little rules will get you…
Now it’s time to throw money at NASBA again and come up with a study schedule. Not looking forward to doing this all over again, but it is what it is…
If anyone has any insight on how to handle this REG retake, please let me know! 🙂
BEC: 73, 81
AUD: 85
FAR: 71, 77
REG: 74, 75...finally DONE! 😀*This is my 2nd attempt at the CPA exam. For all of you who have failed this exam many times, given up on it, or taken a break like me, remember that it is still possible to finish what you started...failure is the opportunity to begin again more intelligently 🙂
