I’m having trouble with every research question using the authoritative literature for REG. I dont know why, audit I seemed confident in, FAR a little less, and REG not at all!

Does anyone have any advice or tips?!

    thanks!

Are you using advanced search with the “containing all” option? The non-advanced search is like a cheesy version of Google and unpredictable in my experience. You sometimes have to use synonyms to words.

I suspect that with the other exams, the universe of AL is smaller than in REG – which could be the entire IRC, though I haven't confirmed. This could account for differences in experience.

I like to start with one or two words, then add to pare down results. That's easier than starting with a huge word list to search and then finding out which takeaway yields results.

I had the same difficulty. Found the research question pretty easily in FAR. I struggled with it in REG while studying and during the exam. Studying for AUD now and it seems like the easiest of the three.

Very important to use the advanced –> search within (words right next to each other) option. Impossible not to get your answer with this method. Plus I found I was finding the answer in 2-3 minutes sometimes.

In my 2017 Q3 REG exam, a couple of ‘Research questions' cost me valuable time. I tried using the keyword(s) that I thought will have a great result, but unfortunately, just few frustration.

After 10 mins of using the ‘Advanced Research' tab, with no luck, I tried to use phrase(s), just to get some kind of result closest to to the ones I am searching. Then I started getting ‘hits' closest to the ones I was looking for. But, I have to scroll a while to pick the closest for the final answer.

I agree with the 2017 Q3 AUD and FAR, they are a lot easier. You get ‘hits' that are really closed to what you're searching in a minute or two. As to my 2017 Q3 BEC, I can't remember using it much.
