I was wondering for Becker there is a mnemonic for qualifying child called “CARES” and the one for qualifying relative is “SUPORT”. My question is, what if for example, the qualifying child, meets the close relative, support test, residency, but hes 25 years old. Does the parents still get a exemption for that child and still claim him as a dependent? If so, i thought the AGE rule is under 19 (and 24 for full time students.) Thank you for your time.

Key to passing the exam is understanding the topic chapter and sections, not just memorizing what you read. The more you practice multiple choice, the greater chance you have to passing the exam.

Age rule only applies for the cares test. So he is still a dependent under the support tests. They are two totally different tests. Don't mix and match items between them.
