Hi,

I don’t have that much of time to review REG. I still go to school and I have 3 finals and one final paper due before March 10th. I haven’t started to review Reg yet but I plan to do so soon. I am wondering what’s the most efficient way to review REG within such a short period of time? Should I focus on the questions? Simulations? Book?

Honestly, I would push it out regardless of the rescheduling fee (if you push it out soon you might have a lower fee, I think at 5 days the fee goes up). I don't believe REG is a section that can be done in 10 days, especially with other commitments. Also, don't be scared of the next version, it will have similar passing rates.

I'm considering doing the same thing. It is currently scheduled for March 10th and I only decided to schedule it then because everyone is encouraging me to try to squeeze it in before the new exam starts. I started studying Monday night (took FAR on Saturday). It's just too much information, but everyone is telling me to at least try before the new test comes out. People are acting like the new test will be dooms day, so I'm nervous, but I really want to reschedule it for May if only to save my sanity the next week so I'm refreshed for when I really take it. To make matters worse, I can't take time off of work because I am pretty busy now from taking days off for FAR. I don't know what to do!

It has been done, and 300$ is not that risky considering the chance passing the section…

I'm sure there are a few that pass with little or no study but it's rare so even if its just 300 bucks, its like throwing away your money. It's not even a 50/50. You have a better chance at tripling your money in Vegas. However if 300 is pocket change for you, go for it. At the end of the day, only you know if you can grasp the material fast enough. Some people have it in them and some just don't. You're asking a panel of people from high to low IQs. Not very good stat to base your decision. No one in this forum can answer that question for you.

If you had a strong background in tax, I'd say it's worth a shot, but with your workload I'd say you're throwing your money away. If money isn't an issue and you're willing to take the chance then go for it! There's nothing to lose and you can't get upset if you don't pass since you didn't have enough time to prepare.

Sorry that I wasn't clear. I finished my first round of studying 3 weeks ago, but I switched to BEC and took the BEC test. I was wondering if 10 days(7days from now) is enough to do the final review? I am at Reg 3 now.

And the weird thing is that I checked the reschedule calendar, no seat is available in April or May.

Not sure which program you use, but here are my recommendations if you are going for the hailmary.

1.) Buy the Ninja TB for $47. Get through all of the new questions, rotate sections after each session. Start with the smaller topics, and spend no more than 20 questions on the larger topics. You will probably clear Professional Responsibilities, Federal Process, and Property rather quickly, then individual, then entity…after all of that, you will still be left with a few hundred BLAW questions. Keep going because, Its worth it to do every single flipping question in this testbank (especially for REG). Use your progress report after every single session you have. Then move on and tackle all of the “missed last time seen” questions. Then do random questions if you have time.
2.) For sims, don't even bother attempting them, just hit submit and study the answer explanations. Well I take that back, it wouldn't hurt to attempt the research ones. But for the most part, you just want to get comfortable with the formats.
