I just started studying for REG. I read chapter 1 (contracts) twice and watched the videos. I started the MCQs and so far I’ve missed nearly every single one of them. This topic shouldn’t be this hard? I feel like the things I read barely even apply to these types of questions?

You will get it. Your FAR and AUD scores prove it.

A - Passed...THANK YOU, LORD. GLORY TO GOD.

Carson Corp., a retail chain, asked Alto Construction to fix a broken window at one of Carson's stores. Alto offered to make the repairs within three days at a price to be agreed on after the work was completed. A contract based on Alto's offer would fail because of indefiniteness as to the:

    A: Price Involved

B: Nature of the Subject Matter

    C: Parties to the Contract

    D: Time for Performance

The answer is A. But my book specifically says that price and method of payment are terms commonly left open in offers. Why would the offer fail in this situation?

Your past scores look solid; apply the same amount of effort towards REG and I'm sure you'll be fine. As I'm sure you know by this point, just keep attacking those MC's.

    Chain MC's = Profit

    AUD - 89 (Jan 2013)

My gut would say that the price has to be agreed upon before work ends….not after.

    B ~ 78 (04.02.12)
    A ~ 70 (08.31.12) ~ 77 (10.05.12)
    R ~ 81 (04.04.12)
    F ~ 65 (11.12.12) ~ 73 (02.28.13) ~ 77 (04.01.13)

You are right if the question was about a valid option but in this scenario the question is about the contract which would be created based on the option “A contract based on Alto's offer would fail because of?” the contract was failed because of lack of consideration “price”
