In the Yaeger videos, Phil says that there has never been a Business Law Sim. If the exam is 60/40 tax and business law, and the scoring is 60/40 MC and sims, wouldn’t it be logical that the MCs would be more business law than tax?

Am I reading too much into this or way behind the curve?

You are pretty on target. Keep in mind though that there is more in Reg than just tax and business law. Ethics, business structure (llc, lc,lop etc) and other assorted things. So while your math suggests that the mcq's are 1/3 tax and 2/3 b. Law, I would say its 50/50 tax /b. Law, and the other assorted topics fill up some space too.

    REG- 2/12 - 90 | AUD- 4/12 - 94 | BEC- 5/12- 85 | FAR- 8/12 - 82
