So I’m 4 chapters in to Roger’s REG course. I haven’t done a whole lot of MCQs, but I have been watching videos, reading each chapter and taking notes, followed by a short practice session. What I’ve noticed so far is that there are a good deal of smaller details coming up in questions that were not even covered in the lectures or book. For example, there was a question on the 2% ownership criteria for S corp health insurance benefits. I went back and looked at that section in the book thinking I must have skimmed over it, but there is nothing there on that topic.
Obviously I wouldn’t expect the course to include every dot and tittle in the tax code, but there seems to be a ton of small-but-deadly stuff on every topic… and I feel like there are some holes here. I’m kind of relying on my review course for the majority of my preparation… so, how should I be filling in the gaps? Maybe just the explanation on the question? Anyone else dealing with this? I’m kinda frustrated…
