Hey everyone! I’m studying for REG using the Becker 2012 materials, and my book says that the deductible is 7.5% of AGI; however, I think that I saw that 10% was the updated number in 2013. Does anyone know what correct answer is for 2013? I know how to do the calculation, so I’d hate to miss points over an outdated percentage. Thanks so much! 🙂

The medical deduction on Schedule A is subject to a 10% floor. That's what's being tested currently. Also, the S179 deduction is limited to $500,000 with phaseouts above $2M. Those are the two major changes between 2012/2013.
