I have reg, my last part, in 2 weeks but for some weird reason I’m completely calm about it?

I have to be underestimating this part based on others responses but I think FAR had some weird effect on me. I can’t stop thinking about that awful long experience….

REG has been harder for me. I only had one tax class as an undergraduate, I don't work in tax at all (only deal with 941 and 720 return) and since I just finished FAR, I have to stop thinking about the treatment of things from a FAR perspective. I do however like that there is some overlap from AUD…here's hoping for a lot of those questions. My luck though, I will only get one.

See what I did there…trying reverse psychology on Murphy 🙂

Just took REG a few hours ago. It seemed a very fair test though harder than FAR. Just so many little nuances to get you and make you second guess yourself. The SIMS were okay, one was absurd and the others were actually very doable. Had about 17 minutes left and spent way too much time on that very odd SIM that I hope was a practice question. I feel okay about it – crossing my fingers.

REG today – hoping for another 76 🙂

From my experience, REG was definitely a harder test than FAR (both times I sat). However, I still think preparing for FAR was worse – that was the only exam I got pretty stressed. I even had a couple of FAR nightmares.

Like everyone else said, I guess it depends on your background and what you took in college vs. area you work in.

I will definitely agree that REG seems a hell of a lot easier than FAR was. FAR was traumatizing for me. Hoping to do well on REG this saturday, even though I haven't studied nearly as much for it as I have for other exams due to starting work… we will see if I can pass this one, i've heard of other people not practicing any sims and not having done multiple chapters and still passing. I've done all the questions almost twice and read the book and reviewed flashcards…that was all i had time for. sighs.

I definitely wish I was one of those people who got all 4 exams done in 4 months, but unfortunately LIFE (being a newlywed, stress, adjusting to newlywed life and cpa exam study life, as well as starting a job with a Big4 which I am very happy about) got in the way, just happy that I am passing period!!

I agree that it depends on background and FAR-REG combination is not advisable. So far I find REG to be harder as far as grasping the concepts and rules. During my review process, I never got 40% in my 2nd round of MCQs on one topic. It's ridiculous!
