    Hi everyone,

I sit for REG in 72 hours – my last exam! I’m freaking out! I do not have any doubts about the amount I have studied, I’ve worked my tush off, but reading the exam experience threads has freaked me out that I’m going to get a bunch of business law questions and that’s the area I feel least confident in. 🙁 I’m planning on locking myself in a hotel room and just hammering away at multiple choice questions, but there is sooooooo much material covered that I’m worried that I’m going to waste my focus on the wrong topics. If anyone has any tips on certain areas they think I should really narrow it down to, I would greatly appreciate it….

I just want my life back!!!!!!! Good luck to all suffering thru these exams.

    AUD - 85
    BEC - 75
    FAR - 74, 74 (really?!), 79!!!!!!!!
    REG - 79

Well Jess me and you are in the exact same position and I feel your sentiments. Im just keep doing 100 question progress tests. I don't really know what else to do. I always just relax the day before so only 1 more day of real studying for me.

CPArunner: I'm glad you said that. This is my fourth test and every night before I tend to take a break. I am relieved there are like-minded people like me. I am moving so I decided I would start packing.. yep, here I am right back to studying. But seriously…

In my opinion, business law wasn't the monster that some people make it out to be; I thought it was *relatively* easy with respect to what could of been there according to Yaeger & Wiley. Some of the questions in the Wiley book and Wiley Test Bank on topics like secured transactions and commercial paper are sufficient to put a scare into anyone, but I didn't think the material on the actual exam was overly difficult.

Additionally, remember that while a lot of people claim that REG is a 60/40 split between taxation and business law, that's really not the case. If you look at the content specification outline, 17-21% is comprised of topics that are considered business law (and this includes business structure, which has a lot of accounting terminology in it and hence you should be more familiar with it). The other part of business law is comprised of stuff like professional responsibilities and the 1933/34 Securities Acts, which are a lot more manageable.

    Hang in there…

Know ALL of stuff in your review course when it comes to REG!!! From my experience, in my opinion Becker was not sufficient to pass( as what was advised by other people here) … You must supplement with Wiley … Work on Simulations and know your bases!!! Time management is a must!

Same boat here. REG on Friday, my last section. Third time trying to pass it, and if I fail I lose BEC. So it's do or die. I'm using Becker (PRAYING it'll be enough to pass), and I'm just gonna keep hammering away on MCs and going back to the lectures/book whenever I want to clarify something better. I may look into the sims, but I've found that practicing sims before the exam has never been a big help to me. Much better to spend the time learning the actual concepts behind them instead, in my opinion.
