jaredo155MemberI promise I am not trying to be smart, but honestly you need to know a little bit of everything. I say that because I just took my exam and I would say that your experience with WTB is similar to what I experienced on the real exam, but I have also seen many people on here describe all different kinds of experiences with REG as far as how much different things are covered.
I will say for me the one thing I didn't see coming, and I am still hoping this was just pretest questions, but the questions went into far more detailed minutia than I experienced on any of the first 3 exams I took. I was also using WTB, and I felt like my practice in there was pretty accurate of what I saw on the real exam both in MCQ's and Sims. I don't want to give you false hope though, because like I said I have seen many posts on here that would contradict my experience.
Sorry I know this post won't be overly helpful, but without violating disclosure rules that is really about as specific as I can get.
AUD - 2/2013 - Passed!
BEC - 5/2013 - Passed!
FAR - 8/2013 - Passed!
REG - 11/2013 - Passed!

AnonymousInactiveHey I took REG two weeks ago and I used Yaeger and the WTB. Here is my advice:
– Be very familiar with tax treatments for various entities. My sims required what I would call ‘detailed' knowledge. Either way you slice it, the SIMs are 40% and the study programs (at least mine) tell you that business law is not likely to appear as a simulation.
– You do need to know business law, but don't forsake tax to know every letter of business law. I spent time trying to get a really good grasp on certain business law topics, and was disheartened to get 1 or no questions on some of them. (Note I do not blame Yaeger for this — Yaeger is good.)
I hope that helps, but the worst thing about REG was that you don't know what you're gonna get. It asks nothing or an easy question on one topic and then asks you something REALLY SPECIFIC you didn't expect on a different topic. It's a mean exam.

AnonymousInactiveAgree with dbk — forgot to mention that. A surprising number of Circular 230 questions in my opinion.

teeteenounoucheMember@ELCIA13 I think a lot of people have said that the SIMs will mostly be related to tax questions…maybe that's why there aren't any SIMs for business law in CPAExcel, I'm sure there will be plenty of MCQ though…
