I will be finishing up R6 tonight – MCQs and SIMS in Becker along with Final review SIMS and MCQs.

Then take a progress test from R1-R6. (I’ve been consistently taking progress test after each chapter and got above 90% on four progress tests from R1-R5).

    Review flashcards.

Tomorrow: Work on R7 and finishes it by Saturday then follow the above cycle.

I’ll have exactly a week to review. In my review, I’m planning to do

    1) – All passmaster, and final review’s MCQs and SIMS from Becker: Takes about 2days

    2) – Read the ROGER cram book – (my video lectures expired:( and do its MCQs & SIMS): 2 days

    3) – Do Wiley MCQs and SIMS for one whole day.

That leaves me with 2 days: I’ll take the final exams and random progress tests/quizes from Becker as well as do some more Wiley. Make notes on my weak areas, and print questions that I got wrong and review those until the exam day.

Does that sound good? Is one week enough? Any thoughts??

Thanks for reading & Good Luck to all:)

Seems like you have a great plan. The only thing I would say is make sure you are knowing why the answer is correct. And why the others are wrong. I think Becker does a great job on the flashcards–I always like to read through them in my review too! I am not sure how much time I would spend on the sims, especially the ones in Becker. I prefer the Wiley sims…but all in all, doesn't seem like there is anything that helps to prepare for the REG sims. If I have done them already, I probably wouldn't do them again in my final review.

You seem like you have been methodical in your approach, I think you are solid. Best of luck to you!

if you're scoring 90% on progress tests from R1-R5 then you're golden. Good luck. I also use the Becker Final Review and would credit it with me passing the exams. It's necessary to get the major points down and the Final Review does a good job of that. I also listen to the final review lectures to and from work. That also is a major advantage in my not so humble opinion. 🙂

jjm1181 – did you use the Becker Final Review for REG yet? I'm attending the live course in Dallas this weekend. The live course has pushed me over a 75 in both BEC and AUD. It has been awesome for me. I hope it helps with preparing for REG as well!

    FAR - 79 (2x)
    AUD - 81 (expired), 77!
    REG - 74! omg (3x) 87!!!!!!! I'm done! OMG!
    BEC - 81 (4x)

DreamCPA, you sound like me, but I only have Wiley, but finishing up some Sims, DVD info on some weak areas, then it's just down to re-writing fact nuggets, reviewing the MCQ's I've gotten wrong and next weekend is all MCQ's for 2 days. I'm 9 days out.

question, maybe I missed something, but is there anyway to practice the research sims like for FAR? I had signed up for the 6 mos thru NASBA free subscription, but it appears to only be FASB, no IRS.

    B - Passed 10/10
    A - (4/12 with 18 months expiring...fingers crossed!)
    R - Passed 02/12
    F - Passed 08/11

Just took the progress test of R1-R6 and got 95%. I have seen this MCQs so many times, so that could have an affect on my high score. However, I do understand why I'm getting an answer right and why others are wrong…so hopefully, that helps on the actual exam.

Got behind on my schedule and has yet to start R7. Hopefully, I can finish that by tomorrow (bankruptcy isn't my fav. subject). Sometimes, I feel like tax is easier than business law…ugh.

    Oh well, gotta keep pushing.

Good Luck to all of us!!!

@Veronica75 – I've been using the REG final review for a while now. I use it along with watching the lectures. There is just soooo much minutia in the book that I have to use the final review to let me know where to concentrate my effort. If I happen to fail REG, I would be interested in trying a cram live course to help me out.

@DreamCPA – That's awesome that you're doing so well right now on those MCQs. I do hope it's not because you've seen them over and over again. Let us know how you do once you hit the Wiley MCQs for the first time.
