So I am struggling the most with REG. Passed all at first or second take but I just can’t pass REG – Matter of fact I’m regressing in score! I get Business Law (showing stronger performance in the parts), but I can’t put my head around Taxes and so weaker performance in all Tax areas and simulations which are all about taxes. I need pointers. What worked for you guys?

My struggle is bad because I just lost my BEC (83) while in this fight. It’s hard not to feel like throwing in the towel here 🙁

    REG: Failed, 71,71...4/16

I am studying REG now my first time and yea, it's a beast. My idea is to not move on from the tax portion of the study till I feel comfortable. I actually don't mind studying the tax. I must have lost my mind I know lol. But it is very easy to get frustrated.

You've passed the other 3 so you can obviously do it! Don't throw in the towel. There are people in worse positions than you (i.e. can't seem to pass any sections).

    -----------------------------
    BEC - 77, 03/2015 (first try)
    FAR - 79, 05/2015 (second try)
    REG - 83, 12/2015 (first try)
    AUD - 84, 03/2015 (first try)

I got 99 problems but the CPA ain't one.

Just to second what the above poster said, I have read through R-6 in Becker but tonight I am going through R-3 for what feels like the 5th time. I think it is finally starting to click. I hate reviewing this stuff and have no background in tax…I feel like it is not coming easily however I feel like if you drill it enough it will (eventually) make sense.

I also realized that the study method I used for FAR was not going to work for REG. Not sure if you have considered changing your study methods and/or materials.
