I just got my score for REG, 62. Yikes….

I put in the time, but I hate hate hate taxes and even while studying didnt feel like it was sticking really great. I used Yeager and feel like a lot of my questions came out of left field and that i had never heard the material before. I plan on getting the ninja audio and i took advantage of the flash card sale yesterday anticipating a failing score. I really dont want to watch the yeager videos again, but will if necessary. Is there anything else anyone would reccommend to me?

I have no tax experience, hate taxes, and work as an auditor.

Depending on how much tax you know, H&R Block's tax classes are really good. I took their basic class then worked there for 3 years while I went to school. They break everything down so well, and start from the very beginning and build from there. You do returns by hand and really understand how the tax system all comes together to make sense. They have courses available on all kinds of tax topics, aside from just individual. I couldn't speak about the price though, my basic class was free (thank you military) and once you're an employee all the other classes are free.

What you should do is – write your own notes for REG and also write down the follow of the tax return.

eg 1040 – start with Gross income and list what is gross income – then comes adjustments to gross income and what they are.. that gives you AGI etc etc.

but doing your own notes and just making the information that is presentable to you will help you understand the concepts better. I also did a lot of research on the IRC publications.

I practiced the SIM's – I listened to Jeff's audio over and over again every day.

    All this helped me pass.

I don't like taxes either, but I just read my text over and over, and areas that were fuzzy I looked it up and did research online. I also used cpareviewforfree as a supplement to WTB, there questions were way more detailed and really helped me further understand the material. I also used ninja flashcards ( And added flashcards for things I was having a hard time remembering) and used ninja notes, as I went I took notes on questions I didn't understand. Hope that helps!
