I’ve completed all of REG studying once.. and have already gone through Law R5-R8 twice.. yesterday and today I started R1, R2, and im currently on R3… WOW.. I have honestly forgot a ton of stuff.. Im getting about 80% on hw for the second time around… is this normal? Shouldn’t I be flying passed all these HWs with 100%? Does this happen to anyone?

I feel I took too long with REG.. 7 weeks with no school/work… I learned my lesson though.. BEC 3-4 weeks.. AUD 3-4 weeks and far maybe 5-6 weeks. Im good with cramming all day… but doing 4 hrs a day over a long period of time doesnt work for me…

There is just so many small details exceptions, rules etc in tax!!! Its driving me bonkers.. what else can I do? I really dont want to study for REG again.

    Thanks 🙂

I felt good the first time doing the hws.. now .. ehh.. Im just getting stressed out!!! Basis for Corps/Pships is driving me crazy. I thought I had it all down.. but apparently not.

By the way, very nice scores! How long did you study for REG? And what exactly did you use/do?!

    You're okay with 80%.

My first run at it I was getting 60-70%, Second run at it I think I was still around the same.

All you have to do for the exam is remember the 20% you got wrong and don't forget the 80% that you got right. Good luck!

I have the same problem: I forget a lot of what I studied and learn. I just completed R4. The material is not difficult to understand but there is so much to remember and my brain can only retain so much. I spend hours and hours studying and sometimes having to relearn some concepts.

Futuremdcpa, if you forgot “a ton of stuff” and still getting 80%, then you are doing well. Good luck on your exams.

Maverick – You're very right, the material itself is not difficult. Its just with all the exceptions, rules.. etc it gets overwhelming.. One word could change the whole question!

I guess I just need to really go over the AMT stuff.. Hopefully I don't get that as a SIM, and get a 1040 haha.. that would be too easy..

Thank you, and good luck on the remaining two 🙂

80s the second time around isn't bad. Just keep track of what you're having trouble remembering and spend some extra time there.
