blah. Starting my 3rd attempt at REG on 11/15 and testing 12/5. I could use some advice.

    First attempt: Only used Becker.
Second attempt: Becker for the readings, NINJA MCQ for problems, and some Becker homework.
    Third attempt:
I can’t really figure out what I should use to study for this thing again. Skip reading the book for a 3rd time? Stick to just MCQ and SIMS from Becker? Get NINJA PlUS videos? Buy NINJA MCQ again?

    anything would help.

    @tgwadez11 and @ultrarunner

What is your average and trending score on MCQ before you took REG and passed? I am assuming you guys used Ninja MCQ.

    AUD - 65, 72, 70, 74, 81
    FAR - 66, 71, 76
    REG - 69
    BEC - 80

I don't remember exact scores. I started very low (60-70) and went up about 70 to 80. I didn't hit Review stage, but my hours were long. I pounded out at least 4-5 hours a day for about 4 weeks.

    FAR 72,67,79 (Roger+Wiley test bank)11/15
    AUD 80 (Roger)10/15
    BEC 80 (Roger)4/16
    REG 63,78 (Roger+Ninja MCQs)5/16

This is what helped me go from a 63 to a 75 REG : (1) made my own flash cards on weak topics – carried them everywhere, studied while eating breakfast, at lunch at work etc. In about 4 weeks I had about 40 flash cards memorized.
    (2) Ninja MCQ – this is the key to you passing – do as many MCQs as possible and read the explanations (wether you got the question right or wrong).
    (3) Did not do a single sim (waste of your precious time)
    (4) practice the AL (I found my research question within seconds on my exam)

    Good luck

I wholeheartedly disagree that SIMS are a waste of time.

Granted, the bulk of your time should be spent answering MCQs. But, SIMs give you a larger picture of a given topic. For example, the casualty loss SIM was especially helpful in crystallizing the rule.

Also, review questions you missed and questions you didn't quite understand. Then, put the explanation in your own words.

Don't forget to review what you did!

@vata20 I can't agree with that at all. I have taken REG 3 times–usually neglecting the sims every time because they were long and put me to sleep. My 3 scores have been 72,74,71…and my progress reports have all come back comparable or stronger on the MCQ's and weaker on the SIMS. All 3 of my exam experiences have been the same, I fly through the MCQ's–I can say of the exams I found REG MCQ's to be by far the easiest for me. But those dang sims! In my opinion they are the reason REG is so difficult. @Alejandro take it for what that's worth but not looking at them at all I believe would be a huge mistake.

    FAR - 78
REG - 72,74,71...please just go away REG nobody likes you!
    BEC - 82
    AUD - Aug 16
