blah. Starting my 3rd attempt at REG on 11/15 and testing 12/5. I could use some advice.

    First attempt: Only used Becker.
Second attempt: Becker for the readings, NINJA MCQ for problems, and some Becker homework.
    Third attempt:
I can’t really figure out what I should use to study for this thing again. Skip reading the book for a 3rd time? Stick to just MCQ and SIMS from Becker? Get NINJA PlUS videos? Buy NINJA MCQ again?

    anything would help.

Mind posting how you did on first compared to second time? I retook REG too and haven't got my sore yet. But I think doing all the Ninja SIMS would be beneficial

Not sure if this is helpful. But for me first time I read the book, took notes, then MCQ. 2nd time I just skimmed over book and did every MCQ again in becker then 2 weeks for ninja mcq/sims. I will know in a few weeks. So I'd say do the questions again and don't skip anything. Good Luck

Spartans92 – how do you feel about your 2nd attempt at Reg? I'm going on #4 in December, WWWAAAAAAAHHHHH!!! This time I have Wiley Test Bank, I used Ninja & Roger for first 3 attempts. The only way to get over Reg is the damn SIMs but they are so random. And I don't feel like any of these test banks will have anything remotely similar to what you will see in the exam. Concepts yes but what takes me a long time and what I struggle with is looking at this new format, other tabs/sources and the instructions.

    BEC - 75 (3x)
    AUD - 78 (3x)
    REG - 67, 66, Aug 1
    FAR - 54, Sept 8

I agree 100% Claudia. Hang in there, mate! You're so close. I think I feel more comfortable on my retake cant say much on SIMS. they weren't too terrible. I was able to do half of them and used the AL to help out on 2 but again can never really assessed them. I think feeling too confident makes it worse if I don't pass LOL

    Went from a 73 to an 88

    1) apply for a new nts right away. It took me a month to get mine so dont waste time!
    2) look at your score report. What were u weak in? Note those areas
    3) start over and study like its new. Take notes and do mcq. NAIL those weak areas. For me i was weak in entity taxation and property taxation. I studied those areas hard..did flashcards
4 them and reviewed continuously Practiced my becker mcq. TAKE PROGRESS TESTS (focusing on TAX). I know this may seem like a lot but it was much easier going through it a second time and u will pick up a lot more than the first time through.

For business law i watched lecture took notes did hw rewrote my notes during final review and redid hw. Do same for tax. I made little studyguides to do quick reviews. Ethics is major, having a study page of what i needed to know for ethics helped a lot.

I was working full time while doing this. I would wake up around 4:30 am head to the Starbucks by my work and study until i had to go to work. Took me around 5 weeks. Then i studied during my lunch hour sometimes and i always studied 2 or 3 hours after work.

With this plan it should get you through the third time! U got this 🙂

@nali474 that is impressive! I admire you dedication. Anyway, shape, or form that you can share that ethics study sheet with me?

Its handwritten. Its basically a summary of the main points in becker ch 5 part 1. That focuses on ethics and it encompasses a page.

I'm a firm believer in over studying the first time and not having to take it again. I gave myself 12 solid weeks for REG and studied my ass off for the entire time. That was my first section and I think 8-10 weeks would be more appropriate knowing what I know now. 4 weeks is not enough in my opinion, unless you are studying 8 hours a day. I am 3 for 3.

@Alejandro Garcia, Do not rush it! this test is not a sprint. If you can increase 17 points in 3 weeks then thats awesome for you, but most people cant. A 58 IMHO means that you are lacking some fundamentals in the major topics, and I would take my time reviewing them thoroughly if I were you. Makes me also wonder why you started so late since you haven't taken REG on the 4th quarter, and its already November 9th.
