No worries @Constant. There is something with posting from my home computer.
For the third time…
I found out I failed March 8th (ish) and took it April 17. So pretty quick after. In that time I did every MC question in the WIley Test Bank at least twice. The first time through the question I did them by sections…so Individual Tax, then Business structure but all the questions in a particular section. When I did that I took short notes on each question and created pages of one or two liners for each question. I did MC every day, some days I did not do as many questions as others and on those days I re-wrote the NINJA notes. I ultimately re-wrote the NINJA notes three times.
Once I made it through the MC I went back to the areas I was weaker on and did those sections again. There was enough time in between the first run through and the second run through that I was not just memorizing the answers. If I was really weak on the area I went back to the Wiley book and re-read the secton.
Once I had all my notes for the first run through of MC I re-wrote those. Then used those as review in the final days. The first time through I hand wrote the notes the second time through I typed them.
I also listened to the entire NINJA audio at least once a day. I did this while at work. I had the audio memorized by test day. It was extremely helpful.
I would wake up and study before work, study at lunch, study after work and have power weekends every weekend until the exam. I truly adopted the hermit lifestyle…but I knew that I knew it. That was the key for me is building that confidence especially since I took the exam less than 36 hours after my estranged father died and the morning after planning his funeral. One thing I did is on my calendar I wrote “I can do this” on the date of the exam and saw it every day. When ever I doubted my studying I gave myself a pep talk.
You can do this too!
