It’s just depends on your test.

Best advise is to read everything, and give each chapter equal importance…you never know what you’ll get tested on!

    A - 84
    B - 74;89
    F - no study = 67; May 15 = 87 & done

CPA628 thanks. What materials are you using? I'm using Becker supplementing w/Wiley this time. Used only Becker the first time around and I think it was sufficient to pass, I think I was a bit weak in some areas.

I used only Becker the first two times (2nd time, only studied for a week…and skipped entire business law, bad idea).

Third time, I used Becker and supplemented with Wiley, plus watched Roger Cram for tax chapters. I read the book 3x and did all the MCQs 3-4 times, and passed with 92. Repetition is the key for REG, you can totally do it!!

I hope so! I thought studying was bad, but re-studying is definitely worse.

Remember to be careful with exam disclosures! The AICPA takes this very seriously and no one wants to get in trouble. 🙂

got it; thought this was general enough of a question.

No problem. You can say “my exam pretty much followed the Content Outline” or “My exam was very heavy in one topic (don't mention the topic)” but you can't say “I had a butt load of ______ questions” The AICPA takes the disclosure thing very seriously and Jeff and a lot of people could get into a lot of trouble. Good Luck on REG!

Thanks Kricket. Are you by any chance using Wiley test bank? If so, can you let me know what you think? Using becker + wiley for extra practice questions only. Think I saw in another post you are also studying for REG.

I'm studying for REG and FAR. I have them both scheduled for April 3rd. I know, I'm crazy for trying to take two in one day, but I'm terrified of losing BEC. My credit for BEC expires April 4th.

I like the Wiley Test Bank. I've been working FAR questions all day. Monday I start the REG questions. How is it going for you?

I find it much harder to restudy! I think Becker is probably sufficient to study but got Wiley to get another angle on the questions. Some are similar/repeats, but I guess it's just more practice. Sometimes the explanations are different (but either way you still arrive at the correct answer). Will most likely focus on becker questions, and do as many Wiley as possible. Not finished with tax yet, but have to get through all material by next Sunday so I have a week for review.

Good luck on the big day!

I keep telling everyone that I'm not crazy. I'm “certifiable”! I just have to prove it! Ha Ha. My boss says that studying for two tests has made me better at work. I know that I'm noticing things that I wouldn't have noticed before because I was always focused on one thing. Now I seem to be seeing the big picture. Lets just hope that “big picture” is two 75's!
