MemberI am so embarrassed of myself right now but I don’t have the heart to accept defeat. I did not study well and I have exams in 11 day. I recently lost job so I can study full time for 10 hours. Is there anyone who has been in a situation like this for Reg and I am trying it for the 1st time. I really have to pass this and I cannot go thru this again. Please help and let me know if you think this is still doable. Anyone who has studied reg with no tax experience and passed in a short study time. I am so looking forward to your advice.

MemberI don't believe in miracles and sure as hell wouldn't gamble my future confidence level and money on one. If you don't have enough time push your exam back and take the time you need to pass. It is $35 to reschedule. Just move it back a couple of weeks and allow the air back in your lungs. Why be concerned about 11 days when you can have a month to prepare and pass. There is nothing like a new beginning. Simply reschedule and then study like a demon.
I spoke to an ancient wise man who sent me on a mushroom induced journey through an ancient forest to find the key to passing the CPA exam. A talking spider monkey told me to throw the last of my drinking water in the dirt to find what I was looking for. So I followed his instructions and the following message appeared in the soil:
"Do 5000 multiple choice questions for each section"

MemberThanks for writing Study Monk.
I can't push it since I am travelling out of country 2 days after my exam to take care of my Mom who is going thru some serious health problem. I am going with a one way ticket because I don't even know how much time I need to be there to take care of her. I don't want to loose credits on my 2 exams that I have passed so far. Too many issues going on in my life which was also one of the reasons that I wasn't able to focus. I know it is very difficult but was wondering if any last minute crammers had done this and were successful. I am probably very wrong but I was hoping there was still a chance.

MemberWithout serious business law and advanced tax classes you do not have a chance since you will be learning everything from scratch and that cannot be done in 11 days.
I would try to explain to your family the issue and get out of that responsibility.

MemberWell, if you passed 2 other parts and if you have an accounting degree, I don't think you'd be starting from scratch.
If you really thinking you can study 10 hrs a day every single day, then MAYBE you'll get lucky but it will be hard and it depends on how determined you are…. I used Roger CPA review with Wiley Test Bank and spent about 130 hours studying and got 83 on the exam. So, in your case there is hope but you REALLY would have to study hard!

MemberMOD, seriously??? You haven't even taken this exam and you don't know anything about this person asking the question, so saying “you don't have a chance” is pretty arrogant, in my opinion.
I had a friend who spent just one week studying for REG and he passed. Everything is possible.

MemberMy father ended up getting sick and passing away when I first prepared for this exam over 5 years ago. So I have experienced first hand the difficulties of balancing cpa preparations with family health concerns. I also have experienced how even good excuses can set a person back in life. I am now 5 years behind on my career plans. I am not saying that the same thing will happen to you but be mindful of the clock ticking and be aware of the habits that you are forming. The study all day habit is hard to develop but easy to lose. Momentum is the strongest force in life, but be aware that there is downwards momentum and upwards momentum. One will make your dreams come true and the other will bring you mediocrity.
