I am using Becker to study for REG (taking the exam on Feb. 9) and the summary of changes effective January 1, 2015 on the AICPA website indicates that the Sarbanes Oxley Act of 2002 has been removed from the exam. Although its not a huge section of the Becker material, I don’t want to waste my time studying SOX if it is not going to be tested. Can anyone confirm whether or not my assumption that it will not be tested is accurate?

Yes, I am also waiting for other feedback, especially from Jeff. I sat in REG last Q4 and Peter Olintor (from the Final Review video/material) emphasized on revisiting SOX at R8. That's the only lecture I studied from R8 during my first attempt because I ran out of study time before my NTS expiry.

And only today that I noticed SOX is removed from R8.

My mistake, SOX is not included in Becker's R8. It's in R5. No bid deal. It only has 7 pages.

For the sake of saving people some time in studying for REG, I received confirmation from the AICPA that SOX was removed from the REG portion of the CPA exam.

can anyone explain the passive loss limitation for LLPs of $5000? I cant find it anywhere in Becker and the explanation is really poor from the Becker Final Exam 2 Reg Sims question 5.
