Hi,

I have REG in 7 days. Just curious, for section 179 and general numbers, do I have to memorize the 2017 or 2018 values? (E.g Section 179: 2017 is $500k, 2018 is $1m.) I was told it was 2017 values until EOY, but just double checking.

Please help.

If you're taking REG this year you should know the 2017 numbers. Also, I think the max in 2017 is $510K

You are correct, you should use 2017 regs until the end of the year. My experience with REG, though, was that they tended to tell you the amounts if the figures changed from year to year. I felt they were really testing more that you understood the rules and regulations and how to apply them as opposed to memorizing all the numbers.
