Does any one think that they assign a higher difficulty to the REG questions for the test. In that, you need to answer fewer of them correctly to get the magic 75 than for the other exams. Otherwise, the pass rates would seem to be much lower because the REG material seems so much more difficult. Thoughts?

FAR - 10/3/12 - 86
BEC - 11/27/12 - 70 1/14/13 - 81
AUD - 4/4/13 - 87
REG - 7/8/13 - 80

No. I'm pretty sure it's graded just the same as the other exams. I thought it was the easiest to study for of the 3 I've taken. BEC was by far the worst.

@BHDave10 – I agree with that statement in terms of REG being the easiest. Out of the three that I've taken thus far, I would rate them in the following order (from most difficult to least):

FAR > BEC > REG

I'm sure that AUD is going to be the worst for me though; we'll see in a couple of days.

Goes to show you how subjective these topics are…REG was by far the hardest portion I have taken up to this point. I would say from hardest to easiest it has been REG, BEC, AUD (no score on audit yet so I could change my tune). I'm already sure that as I begin to prepare for FAR though it will surpass REG as the hardest.

IMHO, starting from a lot of effort (difficulty of materials, a lot of memorization, time spent reviewing, etc) to least: REG>FAR>AUD.

For REG, one ether knows the rule for sure or gets nothing, it is really hard to guess on tax issues and moderately hard to guess on BL stuff.

In FAR there are tons of materials but it is doable if know T accounts/JE.

For AUD, if reviewed materials twice or more, exam is a pleasant experience especially with so much time being left over.

Will see if that changes once I take Reg actual exam and review BEC 🙂
