I'm feeling down. Maybe doing non stop mcq's is not getting it for me. Maybe I need something more. I am using ninja only. Maybe I need some lectures or something. I can read the book but for some reason I am not getting what I need from the chapter to answer questions effectively. I don't know, but I got to get a handle on this somehow.

@Tncincy – When does your NTS for FAR expire?

What do you feel that your lacking? Learning from the MCQs? I always found that when reading, I will read out loud to myself. I find it helps me remember what I read since you're forcing yourself to read and speak the words.

@Tncincy I don't think you should switch to FAR now. You are in it with REG!! You can definitely do it. Try changing the way you write notes – put it in a different format on your looseleaf or in an Excel instead. Try using more colors. Encourage yourself every step of the way! Maybe if focusing on the amount of MC you do a day or the number correct, focus on the amount of time you allotted to it and really focused on the material and that might make you feel better because you were productive. Productivity doesn't necessarily = questions correct, remember that!

My Nts expires 9/9/19. I feel I am lacking order. I still feel like I am all over the place trying to conquer a moving target. I guess when I get the questions wrong consistently. I spend more time trying to find it in the book and cannot find it or resort to internet searches. I guess I'm in panic mode again.

I would probably consider switching to FAR then. It gives you a little more than 2 months to get through the material and learn it. I think I can understand your feeling of being all over the place. I use Ninja primarily for the notes, audio and MCQs. I find it “difficult” to get things in order since, in my opinion, the notes/audio don't line up with MCQs in terms of topics covered. Where as in Wiley, the review course I use, is broken up by topic to match the planned out lesson. Have you tried following the Ninja framework?

I agree with 74phoenix, quality over quantity. I can easily do 150-250 MCQs in a day. If I don't learn anything from those, then that's time not being put to good use.

@tncincy Try using the flashcards provided by Ninja. I believe they are not fully updated for July testing, but there are not many differences. They are based on the notes layout. Helpful to get the concepts down.

@CH89, Thanks for your suggestion. I have decided to move on to far (since I already have a nts) I have materials to get it done. I have decided to take my time, nail down the concepts and quit looking at the score release. I can get it done. In the mean time I will also keep reviewing reg. I don't have to switch back and forth. Just use what I have. I really appreciate you guys. I will continue to post. Keep studying hard. Keep those fingers crossed for me. I am slow with work right now and I can also make better use of my time, easily losing focus solving other things. Thanks again for letting me vent.

@CH89, What part are you studying now?
@ Karla, Thanks for the reminder. I forgot all about the flash cards. I guess I'm too focused on Mcq's.
If I can get a seat I will go for reg. But I am not going to waste time.

@Tncincy – You got this! It is all part of the process, don't let this exam bog you down. A new thing I've been doing is MCQs for a chapter, after going through the material, and not moving on until I am scoring 90s out of 30 MCQs, cumulative for that chapter. May I suggest also doing some SIMs and writing down notes for those too? They are pretty much MCQs just more detailed, and I feel they really help bring it all together! We are all here to support and root you on!

I'm still studying for AUD, exam is coming up July 11. Fun stuff haha.

@CH89, Great suggestion. Yes it began to bog me down. I can do the 90's out of 3 mcq's not move until I was getting 90's or at least 80's. I was doing topic by topic starting out then I switched to random mcq's. My score was not moving I am still at 50-60%. I am going to start nailing down Far and keep doing reg. Good idea?

I was trying to schedule Reg for July 12, but I do not have a nts yet.

@Tncincy – I like going topic by topic, at least that way, my notes have some sort of flow to them. It always bothered me when my notes were all over the place. Once I get through all the questions for a topic, or a chapter, I will do random MCQs for that chapter. When you start scoring well on that, move on to the next chapter. I will go back and review prior chapters as well. Doing random MCQs is nice, because that is how it is come exam day.

You can try and keep your self familiar with REG as you work through FAR, but it also may not be a bad idea to just simply take a break from REG. I know after failing twice on REG, I was absolutely tired of seeing the material. I don't know how quick the turnaround for an NTS is for you and if seats would be available on that day to retake REG. If you're feeling confident in yourself to sit for REG again this quarter, then by all means go for it. You're in a bit of tricky situation, because you definitely do not want that NTS for FAR to go to waste, and I also feel you should stick to one section until you pass it. I think it will be your judgment call as to how you want to handle REG and FAR. Sorry for the rambling and any confusion I may have caused haha.

Thank you so much for your response. I am taking it all in consideration. I certainly don't want to rush nor waste a nts. I am really working on a more doable study situation. Again, thank you so much. Keep checking in. Your comments are very valuable and appreciated.

So after much consideration, I am going to focus on far. I have time to nail down the concepts an read the book. I will feel so much better when I get a pass. So I am not anxious today, out on my deck (beautiful day) getting in a chapter or two with intense notes. It's my husbands birthday so I have to get it in before the festivities. Good luck 74Phoenix and other ninja's taking reg soon. You guys got this, and I'll check in for motivation if necessary. Thank you all so much. I really appreciate the encouragement and the suggestions.

Failed reg again was my last paper and lost far as well. It is ridiculous the idea of losing credit, I feel it is very commercial.
I Really don’t know how to start again , can see that you guys here being really positive and encouraging each others
