Well today was an unproductive study day. Only did a few sets of problems and listened to some audio. Tomorrow is a new day.
    Best wishes tomorrow @74phoenix!
One more week @tncincy! How are your studies going?

Well, today is a new day. This is a heavy week and I am going to go at it all day. I'm calling it ultra cram. I will be ready and I will pass.
I did good yesterday. I stopped rushing, I really don't know why I was, but I carefully read the questions and began to do much better. I also went over a few more of those I missed and really put some thought into the correct answers and what I did wrong other than not completely reading the question. I feel better about attacking the mcq's. Now I am finding a place to study. Too many people stop by my office to talk, so I am going to go to the park or study on my deck since it's soooo nice today.
I hope all is going well for you 23. I am going over one of my old Becker capital losses lectures from 2018. I am missing something. I hope it won't make me more confused with all the changes.
Good luck to you 74phoenix you got this.
My motto this month is PUSH YOURSELF, DON'T SETTLE. So I'm pushing until the 15th. Then on to far. Study hard and keep going gang. Anybody else in our group that need encouragement, jump right in Please.

@23 @tncincy You guys can do it! Keep your motivation (mine is a trip to Cali) fresh on your mind and remind yourself why you want to pass when you are feeling lazy. I switched between Becker and Ninja for MCQ and Sims and found that highlighted areas I did not know well.

I took the test this morning and think I did well. *crossing my fingers*

I encourage you guys to study estate taxable income, Schedule A itemized deductions, Schedule K, tax preparation, penalties for understatement/negligence, like kind exchanges, and partnerships.

I heavily used the Authoritative Literature while doing my SIMS – hoping that gets me points. Yesterday I did 7 hours of studying – focusing on Becker SIMS. Was so tired I just watched the Video lectures on the SIMs, but it helped today!

@74phoenix Thanks for the heads up. I feel like I am all over the place, but I guess things will settle down when I actually take the test. God bless you and may the test Gods be with you as well. I am tightening it up this afternoon and through the night, I have made my list. Seriously, I really hope this is it for you. Keep those fingers crossed for the rest of us. Come on 23 we have to keep going. When is your test 23?

@tncincy, I test on the 22nd. I wanted to sit earlier, but it will be good to have extra time. Plus, my 18 months have not started so I will take advantage of the time. I need to focus on weak areas and sims.

    @74phoenix
, congrats on finishing! Sounds like you were very well prepared. It's going to be a long wait until the 23rd. I'm sure you have all sorts of emotions going on right now.

Well I'm at it again today. I'm all in, no work. I have nothing to do but study, so mcq's, notes, audio flash cards, here I come.

Anyone taking REG June 10th or around that time? If so where are you at with your progress? I will be done with REG 3 and 4 this week. Any help understanding gains and losses (1231, 1245, 1250) will be much appreciated.

Please pay attention to gains and losses. I have been struggling with it and property transactions. My test is in another week but those are some key areas in my opinion. Good luck to you.

Up and at it early. This is indeed power week. Although at this point doing non stop mcq's is ideal, I get distracted with writing notes. I think I have way too many notes. (wrong answer notes) What should I do. What is my focus? (panicking a little 🙁 )

Passed with an 82 in my second try. Thanks Ninja. I used Becker and Ninja both. Becker questions are easier compared to Ninja. I read through the books first, finished homeworks for the chapters first and once done with the chapter I did 100 questions for the chapter. In Becker i was scoring ~80 – 85%. I would follow the same methodology in Ninja i.e. 100 questions per sitting and I would score significantly less. Ninja is a very good guys I sort of regret getting Becker at all. Ex: Becker has very little info on estate and trust taxation and the mcqs are weak but Ninja's questions on that section covers it in much detail.

@tncincy, keep going strong! I think a week out you want to focus on your weak areas. Non stop MCQ and notes are great if that helps you retain the information. Don't neglect the sims either. It's helpful in my opinion to see the material presented in a different format. Check out the sample test in a few days as well.

@Anish.Lamsal2017 I also agree with you that Ninja is harder and refreshing. I liked Becker SIMS, though.

@23 @Tncincy you guys got this!! I wouldn't worry about still taking notes. Maybe take notes by short-hand so be quicker. I reviewed my notes before the test.

Anyone struggling staying awake for Becker REG lectures? It's so dry. After listening to Gearty I find myself having to go to Farhat accounting lectures to understand better. (check him out on youtube if you dont know him, HE IS GREAT). Any other “free” and good additions that you guys are using?

@SIDIEULEVEUT I hear you. Gearty might work for some but my honest opinion on him is he just makes you highlight everything which I feel is useless because I do that regardless when I read the book on my own time. In regards to free material, there is a guy on Youtube I forgot his name he has good content on REG at least. However, he has a little bit of an accent so might be difficult to understand sometimes and there wasnt any subtitle option either. But he was great for me because he had some great lectures on topics that Becker barely touched on. Ill post once I find his name.

Oh I forgot about Authoritative Literature and research 🙁 . I feel like everything is closing in. So how should I review or practice those?
