PistolPeteMemberWell I finally heard back from Wiley technical support (24 hours later). Apparently if you have taken a “large number of tests” it will cause an overload of your account. The only way to correct this is for an “outside technical support admin” to access your account and delete the tests. Which by the way, will take up to another 24 hours to correct. So three days of no Wiley access right before the exam tomorrow morning. Looks like I won't be able to get any last minute questions in….That's great.

hopeful_cpaParticipantMy review of my REG experience today:
First testlet.. handled it like a boss for sure…. second testlest… got handled like a boss, got my a$$ thrown against a wall and the person kicking it (AICPA) had me watch…. super beat up and tired, took me 45 min to do, most of the stuff I hadn't ever seen, and the stuff I did see took me forever to try to answer…. third testlest was much much easier than the second, but harder than the first. dont know if it was harder because by this time i was mentally beat up or because it was just harder. I know I made some mistakes on it because I checked some things when I left but oh well, can't do anything now.
Sims… first sim, aright aright… I can see what they want, did my best… second sim… WTF ARE YOU ASKING FOR!?!?!?! Absolutely had no clue… third sim research, figured my way around that one… fourth sim, handled… fifth sim, handled… sixth sim did all my stuff backwards like an idiot.
Overall I don't know what to expect, but I know the mistakes I made last time were not made again this time… but I know other mistakes were made. Usually I can remember a lot of the questions after the exam, this time I feel like my mind has been wiped clean… don't know if that's a good thing or bad thing.
Taking tonight off, on to AUD tomorrow.

go2euMembersimilar with hopeful_cpa, the first testlet only costs me 20 mins or so, but the second kills at least 40 mins! and the third is somewhere in between. not too much calculation for me and only a few them test on phase-out. one piece of advice I would strongly recommend is to go over ethics in R4, plus any additional materials you may find such as bisk, wiely…. The sims I have are not that bad(perhaps that is a bad sign), pretty straightforward and end it up with 30 mins left. so start going over the authoritative literature to find the code relates to my simulation questions. and it helps correct several mistakes.
overall, I feel Becker and Wiley didnt really prepare me well for the test as I am more expecting questions like shareholder tax basis, AMTI, filing status or security interest priority, questions that are heavily emphasized in those materials. but the test is really testing on something different. Thanks god, before test I reviewed my college notes and textbook study manual, and that helps!

hopeful_cpaParticipanti can agree… most of my exam was focused on maybe 3-4 areas i think… except for my 2nd testlet, that stupid thing was all over the place with stuff i didnt know what or where they got.
the sims for the most part were straight forward… i think… except for one like i said. the other i just jacked up.

Hiren PatelMemberI take regulation this Saturday…I'm doing multiple choices and getting 70% but is there something i should tackle. Other than individual and corp tax? Any help or tips for last few days of study would help! thanks!

katelynParticipant@momof4 I'm on CPAexcel. I tried Becker in 2009 and was not a fan.
@hopeful and @go2eu I'm taking my test Saturday, and ya'll have me freaking out! Ugh….so much pressure to pass too. Any study mistakes I should avoid?
@momof4 I wouldn't use a test bank from 2-3 years ago. The SIMs changed on 1/1/11 so the ones you will see won't even be reflective of the test day. I've never used it, but I think AICPA has a free practice test that you could use to see what they look like.
