Feeling slightly better about REG this week. I hit Tax pretty hard the first part of the week, and am now scoring in the 70-80% range on MQC for these topics. Also started the CRAM on Monday. So far so good.

Are you in Oklahoma? I thought you might be an OSU fan. I am in OK and sitting for REG in less than two weeks. I also started the CRAM last week.

I have my REG exam in 3 days! I am starting to get a bit nervous. I am using becker to study. I work in tax accounting so I feel pretty strong on R1-R4. Even R5 has not been that bad. R6 and R7 are killing me though with maybe the exception of agency law.

I am feeling a bit discouraged after taking my first practice exam with Becker. I scored amazingly high on the simulations, however that was very easy to overlook with my 60% average multiple choice scores! Back to the drawing board. 🙁 I better make these last few days count!

anyone else having trouble attempting to enjoy this weekend with the thought of getting our scores on Monday? AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH freakin out a litttle…just dont wanna have the worsttttt december ever-gonna be hard to resist checking my score in the daytime at work but i know if things go either way, im gonna want to start drinking heavily 🙂

@CPAStudyVictim – im in tax too, even so, r1-4 i put most of my time into and for 6 & 7 i just couldnt dedicate too much time…i had the basic principles and deifnitons down and hopefully it didnt bite me in the end…doing good on those sims is NICE-theyre such good sum up learning tools ya know…mult choice becker final exams are ALWAYS sooooooo much harder than actual test, so dont get discouraged

My REG test is in 6 hours and I have yet to look over R4 from Becker (I did a review course in May at my college, but obviously I don't remember anything from back then). Also can't reschedule since this is my last day on my NTS. I'm pretty sure this test will break my one and done streak that I have with AUD and FAR.

Today is going to be a great day!

if you get tax, you should be fine, trust me, the tax portion is so important, at least for my test. however, every test is different. Make sure you get tax like really really really well, the details too not just the broad concept. I can't say specific but if you really get tax you should be fine.

All my sims are Tax and Calculations, I mean calculations so FOR EXAMPLE, to calculate taxable income for corporation, remember to add dividend and then take dividend received deduction, for DRD, the 70%, 80%, and 100% deduction rules. These are the details that I was referring to.

that is 40% tax, and I am sure less than half of my MCQs are business law, so Becker was right that 75% is tax and 25% is business law, at least for my test. or more like 80% tax and 20% b-law.

I just took REG today. It was tough, but fair IMO. I had a couple of MCQs that were out in left field, but other than that I had pretty much saw everything tested that I reviewed.

I had 1 SIM that was WAY OUT THERE. I am pretty sure that was the pretest. It was just a crazy SIM. I really had no idea what it was asking for at all. haha.

Now I just have to hope I get at least a 75! I never know what to expect from these exams.

Glad that REG is behind you. It sounds like you did well. I hate the way sims are going….seems like it is common practice to get some that are hard to interpret what they are asking you to do! I am pulling for ya! I hope you take a few days to enjoy Turkey Day! Have a good holiday.

Thanks Yankee! Yes, I am taking this week off for the holiday before I start AUD next Monday. I'm going to start AUD while hoping for a passing REG score lol….I know I put in the study time, but you just never know how they grade these exams. I hope I'm on the passing side 🙂

I used the research function during the SIMS and that really did help for a couple of them.

When do you get your score?
