    Erin, just buy the Wiley testbank and book. It's a lot cheaper. I've used it to pass FAR and BEC and I'm using it for REG.

    It is a good sign that you think the first one was easy and then the second one was extremely hard. 🙂

    I will be taking the exam in two weeks. When answering questions, should I be concerned with 2010 or 2011 numbers? For example, if the question asks for the personal exemption amount, would I answer $3650 (2010) or $3700 (2011)?

    Chaos, found out from Becker that the exam will not require us to memorize specific amount amounts of deductions/exemptions (often provided) but should be aware of the concepts, which will be most important. Tax law changes every year and they would have to completely change the exam every year, which would create more time and resources than would overall benefit.

    However, keep in mind, it's important to understand the certain rules which are changed infrequently if all all such as 2% rule of itemized deductions – 50/30 rule of contributions and other rules with the limits.

    I felt the same way about my Reg test. First testlet was extremely easy…took like 15 minutes. Second testlet was extremely hard (had to guess a lot) and third testlet was medium/hard. Sims were also okay – thank goodness for the research tab, which totally saved my butt. 🙂 It turned out okay for me, so hopefully for you too!

    ok so this might be a dumb question but, how do you utilize the research tab for the sims? I keep reading that it's really helpful but never figured out how to actually do it. I figure being able to practice using it for my Becker sims might help me become familiar with using it for FAR and REG coming up.

    @ErinBrookeTX,

    I used the Roger Cram the second time around and boosted my score by 11 points. I think it's only like $250.

    FAR: 78 5/17/11

    jdiiorio- my advice to you is to look over trust and estates! that's something i skipped when i took the test in feb and i think it's part of the reason why i failed.

    everything will come together the day of the exam, don't freak out, and pay close attention to the question!!! read it carefully!

    I am sitting for REG Saturday and I am currently in the review process. According to the Becker books, about 65% of the exam is tax with the balance B law. Are these percentages accurate? should I focus 2/3 of my attention to tax and 1/3 to B law?

    AUD - 7/11/11 - 75
    FAR - 8/30/11 - 76
    BEC - 10/8/11 - 76
    REG - 11/12/11 - 78
