    I would get a different review course, because you HAVE to pass it this next time or lose a part. From what I've read here, Yaeger doesn't cover everything, it hits the high points. Maybe you just need a different perspective from a different review course.

    No, you can't take it again this window. Sorry, don't know how much.

    The question about upgrading to 2012 materials is made moot by my answer above, but the gist is that the review courses don't change in 2012, except for the pronouncements that become eligible for testing in that window. These should be available as an update from your review course.

    AUD - 88
    FAR - 90
    REG - 85
    BEC - 88

    Thanks everyone. I appreciate it. I guess I'll spend my Friday night looking at different review courses and deciding what to get. I just keep telling myself this torture will pay off someday.

    Again, Thanks for the input.

    @jrcompton, I'm not sure what your budget is but the NIU Correspondence CPA Review (cpareview.niu.edu) is amazing. That's what I've been using throughout my entire CPA journey and that's what I'm using for my upcoming exam.

    FAR 88 (07/15/11)
    BEC 83 (08/31/11)
    AUD 81 (10/15/11)
    REG 83 (11/26/11)

    This may be a dumb question, and I am not trying to pry confidential information, but do the Sims for Reg cover JUST tax stuff or are there tasks on Business Law too? I know there is a research question, but are the other 5 Sim Tasks only on tax/property related tasks? And so Business Law is just covered in the Multiple Choice questions?

    @JRcompton: Sorry about the disappointment on REG. I'm taking it in a few days for the first time and am also feeling the pressure (mostly because I still have some stuff I haven't done MCQ's for yet). Regardless, I can't speak on Yaeger since I have never used it, but I have been using Becker and my scores have been good so far (B-86, F-84). If you've taken the test a few times and still aren't having luck, it seems like you may want to consider changing review courses. That being said, take a closer look at your study method too. For example, I learn better by doing MCQ's than reading, so when I try to focus on those as a learning tool. I also have a pretty good memory so I avoid redoing problems since that would just give me a false sense of security and I wouldn't be learning anything new. As far as 2012 update, I can't really say. That's probably something you could call a review course cust. service and ask. Hope this helps, good luck!

    BEC 86 (08/30/11)
    FAR 84 (10/13/11)
    REG 88 (11/08/11)
    AUD 86 (11/29/11)

    I have REG tomorrow and am doing some last minute studying. I took a practice test and did badly, around a 65. When I went to take a progress test, I got a 90. What is causing the difference here? The 65 really worries me as I usually get upper 70s to 80s on the practice tests with Becker.

    @Mahina,

    If you used the Becker Final Exams, they are pretty difficult IMO. In fact, I try to avoid them in my final review, they are a confidence crusher for me. Overall, I feel that the Becker Final Exams are much harder than the actual exam. But, if you disagree, which is not a problem, I would go to the argument of: don't focus so much on the grade as what you got wrong and why. Use it as a tool. On the problems you got wrong, know why the right answer was right and why the others were wrong. Better to get the answers wrong on the practice, then on the real thing.

    Take a deep breath, you will do fine! Best of luck.

    @CPAMan,

    Would you care to share exactly what materials you used to study for the exams with to improve your scores so much? Thank you – I appreciate it.

    The Wiley book has Module 35 as “Insurance” for Business Law, but this section doesn't even show up on the online test bank. Are they not testing on this section anymore?

    Question. My Becker expires 12/3/11. I need to sit for REG (again) next window. I just found out my Becker promise expired in September….(sucks!). Becker will not work with me. I'm going to have to shell out $620 for a brand new 18 month course. Should I stick with Becker? Or is there a better course out there for REG?
