    ok, here we go…. i am taking reg on thursday and i'm all about tapped out on my studying. i dont know what else to review and what else to go over!! its so frustrating because i know i should be reviewing but i just dont know what to anymore. today i went over individual tax for and from agi and corp tax amt and all that stuff. tomorrow i'm going to do partnerships and a skim over again of all b-law.

    i dont know if i should review through tomorrow night or just review in the first part of the day and take it easy the second half…. i'm going crazy right now because i've done 2300 questions, 30 sims, and 5 full practice exams.

    i hope i've done enough to understand and get through the questions on the real exam.. but knowing my luck the AICPA will rip me a new one and leave me walking out of prometric beau-legged. =/

    Sounds like you have done the work. I wouldn't go overboard, otherwise you will be so burnt out when you get to the exam. One thing I would have done differently in the last couple of days: I tried to read the notes in Rogers book. So, instead of reviewing areas I was weaker on or I thought were hot topics, I read over all notes. I regret that, because when it got to the sims, I blanked on two that I should have gotten if I had gone over it in detail better.

    It looks like from your signature that you have passed REG before, I think you are going to nail it. I am pulling for ya! Good luck on Thursday….let us know how it goes for you 🙂

    @Yankee—your experience sounds hopeful, and I know exactly what it is like to “blank out” on a certain topic that I had spent plenty of time on, frustrating as heck! I have faith that you passed, you worked hard and deserve to anyway. Cool first name too!

    @aldog—its funny just how similar your exam prep is to mine—bust your hump on those days off and walk into that exam room prepared and you won't have to worry about that “test out of left field”. Then its party time until the scores are released, then possibly more party time, don't be like me though, its been 6 weeks since I found out I am done and I haven't even peaked at the Ethics stuff yet…but its been a fun 6 weeks! Good luck to ya man

    I am taking REG on Monday and I have no idea how I will do. I am NOT a tax person. Business law I pretty much have down pat, except for the securities regulation. I am going to spend the next 5 days hard core studying. Hopefully I won't kill my brain.

    @Aldog

    Hope your final review is going well, kick Reg on Friday–best of luck to you!!

    @Baked

    Man, I hope you are right. It would be pretty cool. The blanked out thing sucks, I am hoping to avoid that when I take Audit. Thanks about the name. 🙂

    Good luck everyone!

    Good luck CRice–hope REG goes well for ya!

    @atelery,

    In my experience, I didn't have any kind of particulars of that nature. My exams always covered a large array of topics but never on phaseouts…….good luck!

    just got back home and i'm exhausted. i'm so stupid i completely screwed up some mcq's that i knew.. im so dumb because i over thought the question. AAAAARRGHHHHH!!!!!!

    ok, first testlet was decent, second testlet my @ss got handed to me, third testlet my @ass got handed to me a second time, i was confused because i though i only had one @ss, but i guess not. the stuff i knew i knew down pat, except for that one i'm pissed off about. the stuff i didnt know, i had no idea where they got the material from, and everything i knew on trusts were not on the exam, go figure right?

    sims… the first sim i know i bombed, second sim could go 50/50, third sim i killed, fourth sim was research handled that no problem, fifth sim was pretty basic but missed a few because of something i forgot to include, and sixth sim was basic.

    all i can say is that i'm exhausted and feel so stupid right now that i missed the questions that i did, after all the work and studying you would think you know it but then they decide to throw something at you that isn't really emphasized or practiced in the review. i finished with 2 minutes left. i don't even remember anything else, it's all just jumbled up in there right now, maybe after today and i unwind more will come back to me.

    p.s. i give mad props to those that pass all this stuff first time through, i wish i was as smart and able to retain as much information as those.

    @atelery

    you don't need to know phased out numbers, becker is correct in saying that.

    pat yourself on the back and pour yourself a beer or some other libation! REG is done. And it sounds like you did well. Honestly, I think having the second and third testlet harder is a really good sign. Since my testlets didn't have any of those out in left field kind of questions, I am thinking that I may have totally blown it. So, I think you are in a good spot. It also sounds like your sims were good. It is so easy to beat ourselves up. I keep rehashing the two sims that I did my “deer in headlight” impression. I mean come on! How could I forget? Anyway, we all have been there, but also remember that we are always most critical of our performance right afterwards, so take a deep breath! Ya got Audit right around the corner…..which btw I need to get back to. Roger is calling!!

    take the rest of the day off–you have earned it!!!

    I totally agree with you on the passing on the first swipe, I wish I could have done that. It took me 2x on BEC and 3X on FAR. UGH.

    second, i am going over some stuff and i know for sure i got like mcq's wrong that I SHOULD HAVE gotten correct!!!!! that is so frustrating…. and with some other stuff, how can i not remember dental!!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?! what am i some sort of freaking retard?!?!? i sure feel that way right now, i cant get over the frustration i feel right now.

    That is the very reason why I don't go back and check my answers after an exam. I know that I will get my undies in a bundie!

    I do have a strict policy of not checking…..because I am totally OCD and it will make me crazy until score release. So, I would say, ” put the weapon down” or ” step away from the vehicle” or you will drive yourself crazy!! And because now you made me think of something and now I want to go back and check it. NOPE…….not gonna do it.

    I am soo sorry you are feeling so frustrated. Take a dose of 30Rock and see if that works. A little Liz Lemon goes a long way! If not, then I will think positive for you.

    See ya in Aud forum 😉
