    I am right there with you … I have hit a wall. Hoping that I can “dig in” to studying after work this evening. I am losing ground. I have the desire to get this done, I am just struggling with mental exhaustion and getting back in a groove.

    EVERYONE: Becker does not go a good job covering Installment Sales. Do Wiley Focus Notes and/or Ninja Notes appropriately cover this topic? I need some supplement for that.

    well I'm 100% certain I failed it but hopefully most of you will pass 🙂

    Hey Baked!!!! Thanks for the shout. Hope all is well with you!

    Thanks Redrage,KasiaS,hopeful_cpa, katiekanton, goodluck2everyone and all the other REG'ers for the well wishes!!

    I am back. Phew. Glad that is over. I always get really worked up before I go. What is so funny, is the guys there know me. I walk in and they say” hello, Nadia”. I replied,” ok, is that a bad thing?” hahaha. I talk alot when nervous, so I have obviously made a few friends there!

    In a nutshell: timing felt better on this swipe. I didn't have to actively manage my time, which I thought was positive. I had the following questions marked in the testlets: 7, 2, 5. Bad thing was the second testlet was easier. Third was harder, at least it seemed that way. The good thing was overall, all the questions I marked I felt very confident that I had gotten them down to the two most likely answers. I don't think I felt that way last time. No out of left field questions. Then the sims. I wish I could say that they were horrible, they were all on subjects I had gone over. I felt decent on 2, the research I am fairly sure I got, then one sim was just ok. Then came 2 sims that I knew very well before the test, but for some unknown reason, I could not for the life of me remember how to get through them. Can you believe it? I can't even blame the AICPA on this, it is all me. What a nimrod. I can't even bear to look them up because I know I will crap my pants immediately. I just blanked out- pure and simple. That part is maddening given how much I studied and how many problems I worked before.

    Overall, I would say touch on everything. I felt like there was a bit of everything on this one.

    Keep up the studying guys, finish strong!!! Hopefully we can all exit 2011 with REG behind us. At least, that is what I am drinking to tonight. Don't worry guys, I will hoist one for you……I know that you are studying 🙂

    I was thinking about you today. No, don't get freaked..I am NOT a creeper! But I was trying to channel a bit of Clint Eastwood, Dirty Harry today. ” make my day AICPA!” ya know? Trying to take your advice and be confident.

    Thanks for the thoughts!

    @yankeeaccountant, Congrats on getting this one behind you! It sounds like you conquered REG and will soon be reporting back a wonderful score!

    Do you have any advice in general regarding REG studies after this swipe?

    @katie

    Always feels better when the monkey is off the back. But then tomorrow the waiting for the score monkey will hop on and then we start Audit…and well it just keeps going!!! I am glad to be done, just wasn't thrilled about the sims. Honestly, I am not sure if what I did constitutes a passing score. How are you feeling with Audit??? I think you are going to kill it!

    @hopeful_cpa

    I totally think Wiley was the ticket. At least for me, those questions are good practice in thinking further on the concept. I don't get that from Becker. That is just my opinion. I definitely felt like the sims on Wiley were a better practice than Becker's. My only regret is not starting on the Roger cram earlier. I really like the way his notes are laid out and the way he does his lectures. BTW I got a Wiley Review book (purple cover) for 2011-2012. This book was awesome. I unfortunately had to ditch it after I worked on all the Indiv tax problems, it was eating up too much time in my final review. There were some good sims practice in there. I probably will use those first on Audit, then go back to the regular Wiley testbank and some Becker. I know that you know your stuff, you have been scoring really high on your tests, you will go in there and knock REG down. You got this!

    @KasiaS,

    I appreciate your vote of confidence, I would love to put this behind me!! Unfortunately those pesky sims are at the end and thus the last thing you remember. I can't get those 2 sims out of my head, I don't know how I did on them, and whether or not that will fly when they score the test. Oh well, at least we don't have to wait too long. In regards to REG, I prefer the Wiley testbank. I am one of those people who did all the sims in Wiley. I felt like I needed to. Mostly on this forum people tend to just study by practicing the mcq's, but for me, I like to do the sims so I can get an idea of what they want and how. I came across REG last window where too many of my sims were written in Swahili and I did even know what they were asking me to do! It was frustrating, so this time I made a point to expose myself to different sims. I hope that worked for me. I also really like the Wiley review book I got. I bought it off of Amazon, maybe $25 or so. It contained newer mcq's and sims.

    This is your last exam–you can do it. Imagine what a great end of the year it would be for ya!

    @Yankee I'm working through the Wiley stuff now. I'm finding it easier than my Bisk stuff, so I'm feeling a little more confident. I'm glad to have extra sims to practice with.
