yankeeaccountantParticipantactually it is almost embarassing!!!! I took a Wiley test last night and got a 76. It is frustrating, especially after all those mcq's that I have done. I am still having trouble avoiding silly mistakes of not reading the whole question or reading it too quickly and missing a word.
But today is a new day, so I am going to head to the library and keep it up.
Hope your studying goes well!

yankeeaccountantParticipantJust what I needed! Thanks for the pump up. I just worked on some sims, and now will do some more mcq's, then hit the AICPA exam. I appreciate the reminder. I am at the library and have my “cave” reserved —they allow us to reserve study rooms. I call it my swanky study room because I can eat and drink in there and the furniture is really nice–and it is clean unlike my study room at home!
Kick some @ss on the sims today….looks like you are on your way to being done with this madness. Cheers!

Got2PassMemberIn most part, I agree with the REG assessment as posted by @40Gloc. However, I would encourage NO ONE to blow off Business Law! I have done that twice … and twice, that was my weak part. You may think you can pick out the best answer based on general knowledge, but I would caution against it!
@KatieKanton … Um, yes, the grades are ‘curved'. Info released by the AICPA that explains the scoring process clearly indicates that tests are ‘curved' … though they call it ‘scaled'.
QUESTION: Is anyone using the REG NINJA Notes, and if so, are they worth it? I got them on sale ($28.20) for BEC and they were worth the $28.20 price but I am having a hard time justifying the $67 price right now for REG. I used them as a supplement for my BEC studies and thought the price was reasonable for their purpose. Anyone pay $67 for REG and found them incredibly helpful?

yankeeaccountantParticipantI do have the ninja notes but got them as part of my membership at Club 75. I do read thru them and like them, however, for me, they arent very portable so I don't use them as much. I use Becker notecards and Focus notes . I bring them with me wherever I go just in case.
I wish I could tell you more… best of luck with REG. It is a true pisser.

Got2PassMember@yankeeaccountant: “True pisser” made me chuckle … thanks for that! What are “Focus notes”?

KasiaSParticipant@hopeful_cpa, I”m right there with you. For some reason I just don't have it in me to attack REG like I have the other sections. I know I need to buckle down but I feel like my body is protesting the exhaustion. I'm taking a break today to get rid of this darn migraine and hopefully I'll have a new outlook on these studies tomorrow.

hopeful_cpaParticipantI have been hardcore on this stuff for 3 weeks straight putting in 6-10 hours a day… I have even taken it pretty easy the past few days and now I am behind on my schedule and this thing is on Thursday.
I need to just get over it and figure I can rest Thursday afternoon and Friday… before I get on AUD lol.
Feel better, take some caffeine, it will help with the migraine.

yankeeaccountantParticipantUGH! is all I have to say. I have been at it for about 6 hours so far today. Just took the second Becker Final Exam. Next time just shoot me. I don't know why I take those things, they are such a confidence crusher. I got a 62, 75, 62. I made a bunch of stupid errors on the sims….like putting in brackets for a negative number when the form clearly states deduction! I am now coming into full blown freak out mode. Somebody slap me!!
Going to head home for some dinner, and then work on another Wiley exam and hopefully earn back a bit of chutzpah.
Damn you REG!!!!!!! ( Ok, I think I may be overreacting….I am starving!)
I see that I am not alone with frustration today…guess we all just have to shake it off and start the week in a good way.
@Kasia–hope you feel better.
@hopeful–you are almost there…keep it up. I think one thing we always underestimate is that we know more than we think. (I am talking to myself here too!)

hopeful_cpaParticipantok just did my first full practice test, destroyed the multiple choice 89%, but got absolutely obliterated on the sims… lowered my entire score to a 75%. After looking over the correct and incorrect answers to the sim, I obviously didn't understand the format and what the sim was asking for me to do.

katiekantonMemberBy the way, those Wiley Focus Notes are available as an app on your iPhone. Highly portable. I don't have them so I don't know if they're worth it, but anyway….
@KasiaS I get migraines too, and thought I'd pass on something my doctor told me the other day. I usually depend on 4 ibuprofen to get me through, but he said that when you take ibuprofen, take one Tylenol too. Something about the Tylenol helps deliver the pain medicine better. They don't really understand it.
