hopeful_cpaParticipantI'll let you know next Thursday when I enter the lions den. =)
@yankee and @ana:
I found the question:
“Wok Corp. has decided to expand the scope of its business. In this connection, it contemplates engaging several agents. Which of the following agency relationships is within the Statute of Frauds and thus should be contained in a signed writing?”
Answer Choice: “An agency for the forthcoming year which is entered into in mid-December of the prior year.”
I guess forthcoming year means entire year =/ oh well.

trying not to get too lost in micro topics anymore but soooooooooo much material rawr-my buddy just recently took the exam-advice from him consisted of, as usual, WATCH OUT FOR ANCILLARY MATERIAL haha seems to be the theme for reg
well goodluck all and if you need motivation here it is:

Where did you find the AICPA just released questions? Are you talking about what is out on Becker's website? I will take whatever practice I can get.

I am trying to get my life back. Hopefully when I am done with REG I can put down Audit on 11/23 and say good bye to all this for good!!! Today has been a very slow day. I have been reviewing questions I got wrong for what seems like 10 hours and it only has been 3.I am chomping at the bit to get back to mcq's!!!!!
I am really losing the mojo here.

yankeeaccountantParticipantHoping to knock REG out on Tues….and then Audit for me too. 11/23.
Not feeling warm and fuzzy today, I studied (still studying) but reviewing my 219 mcq's in Indiv Tax took way too much time today. I am going to nix the mcq's in my Wiley book ( which I hate to do b/c they are all newly released AICPA q's) and listen to the remainder of the Roger cram and just keep doing Wiley exams and rereading notes when I can.
I hope that is enough……..what is that song by The Grateful Dead? ” I need a miracle everyday”

hopeful_cpaParticipant@yankee
Yea, something like that lol… let me know how that cram is, i was thinking of getting that for audit when i study for that. are the questions in the wiley book different than the ones on the online review questions?
I keep listening to Queensryche The Needle Lies lol because that's how I feel about the AICPA and these exams haha

yankeeaccountantParticipantLOL–ha, just listened to that on youtube. I want out too!!! Out of this ratrace.
First, this Wiley Book I got is new(er) and does have some of the ones that are online, but it has alot of new ones. Alot of really picky mcq's. Could be I am noticing more now. I am glad I found this book. I just feel overwhelmed because there are too many mcq's in the tax section for me to complete before the exam. So, I have to just finish the cram and then go back to areas of concern. I am thinking of Roger for Audit as well. I really like his energy and his manner of explaining the details. He is very detail oriented. But I remember reading so many posts about how great Gary Bulmash is from Yaeger. I just want to pass, so I am desperate. But his voice is soooo monotone…….don't know what to do. But, I am leaning towards Roger !
Ok, back to the cram…have fun studying!

hopeful_cpaParticipant@yankee
yea its a good song, keeps me awake during all this.
i'm leaning towards roger also, his tempo keeps you paying attention.
so i have done like 1300 questions so far, i have done almost every important section almost 3 times, including all the ind tax, corp tax, part tax… i for some reason still feel like i'm not prepared or ready for it. i really hate this feeling.

yankeeaccountantParticipantI totally agree with you. This is going to sound crazy but I have done 2,500 and counting and I still don't feel great. I did all the mcq's in Wiley (online) but I also did the supplemental in each section in Becker, and then I have done tests here and there and now this Wiley book. I feel like a nimrod. I am going to do a test in Wiley now and see where I am at. I really want to be consistent over 80% before I go in…and Tuesday is coming toooo sooon.
UGH. at least you have more time to sort things out. keep it up, you are closing in on the finish line…heck, we both are!

hopeful_cpaParticipant@yankee
damn, thats hardcore man, 2500!!! i think you will be fine. doing 2500+ should be enough to see all the material that could possibly be covered, just focus on the details with the tax sections and you should be golden.
