    PhillyPhanatic311 —

That was a really helpful post! I've been wondering if I should use the pre-made flashcards, I think i will try for this section. I started making my own, but it was way too frustrating. Thanks!

    Philly: I am pissed…ha.

Thank you so much for taking your time explaining your approach and I will indeed follow your instructions.

I think you might have passed. I am just saying this becasue every time I left the test room feeling good about the test I've always passed. I just hope this will be your case as well.

    Good Luck and thanks again!

Thanks, pabernal. I hope so too.

Just to clarify relative to the flash cards from becker, which I believe put me over the top conceptually- I only Studied the flash cards (like really hard) the concepts I felt confusing. For example, how the tax basis rules change within Individual, Partnership, Corp, S-corp ect.. and the differences within each. For me it was so confusing, there were so many scenarios and exceptions to each rule it was rather difficult to actually study for these by just doing MC questions. You could probably do millions of MC questions/practice sims and still be thrown off by the EXAM SIMS. I purchased mine off e-bay cheap. Also remember most of these flash cards are straight forward and probably only need to be read over, but material you find confusing play hard ball. LOL, (forgot printing page)

    Good Luck

Well today is my first day back studying for my last test!

What up aldog, good to see you!

So I am kinda screwed. My becker software expires in 5 days. I Dont care about the lectures, because I just read the material myself. But now I am mcq-less… So do I pay a bunch of money to get becker again? I have passed all 3 other parts using their stuff! Or do I just use the book and buy someone elses mcq's??? I just don't know!

I read half of R1 today… getting back to studying after being off since feb is weird! Lots of memorization it looks like, so I am planning on lots of flashcards for this one!

FAR 91 AUD 91 BEC 81 REG Oct 2011 is the plan

moldoll16 — everyone here speaks really highly of the Wiley test bank. You can buy that for way way cheaper than you could get Becker MCQs. Jeff sells them here https://www.another71.com/products-page/wiley-software/. You can use the Becker book, but then use the Wiley MCQs maybe?

    Good luck!

@moldoll16 – I liked the Wiley test bank as well. Is it possible to save a copy of the questions and answers to your computer or print the questions/answers out? That would be a pain to do but could give you some extra practice.

So I'm studing for REG to test (hopefully) the first week in October. I'm using the Becker material and am planning to take the live Becker Final Review course. I've seen some discussion on the Wiley software and the Becker software, so I was wondering, for those who have taken the REG section, do you think Becker alone is enough? Or should I also use Wiley?

@ANA9816, I think everyone is different. Some people passed REG with just Becker. For me I needed more MCQs to practice. I failed REG twice with just using Becker. I am waiting for my 3rd REG score–that I did with Becker AND Wiley. Honestly I felt SO much more prepared during the actual exam this time around, and I completely give 100% of that confidence to Wiley. Jeff has a promotion today on Wiley 40% off, it comes out to about 34 bucks. Do it. Seriously. It can't hurt you, and you get over 1,000 MCQs. I have Becker for all my sections but I am the biggest Wiley advocate.

    AUD 81 (X4) Previous scores 59, 72, 72
    REG 80 (X3) Previous scores 59, 60
    FAR 75 (X2) Previous score 67
    BEC 79 (X2) Previous score 58

@Peanut, thanks! I noticed the discount and was really considering it but wasnt sure if it would be necessary. But I know I need all the help I can get, so if you think it helped you then I'm all for it! Thanks for the input!
