Haha awesome, thanks! God I hope I pass. I think I'm lacking motivation today is, for example, I just took another practice exam in Wiley scoring a 90. So I feel comfortable with the material. I don't want to do any more MCQs in Wiley because I score in the 90s each time and don't want to become too familiar with the questions like I did in Becker. Tomorrow I will devote my time to reading my notes/ancillary. I'm a little stuck on how to finish off the day today, maybe cpareviewforfree.com, or SIMS in Wiley? I'm not sure, I feel confident but I don't want to waste anytime!

    AUD 81 (X4) Previous scores 59, 72, 72
    REG 80 (X3) Previous scores 59, 60
    FAR 75 (X2) Previous score 67
    BEC 79 (X2) Previous score 58

If you're nailing the MC, try the sims. I know they arent like the exam, but will help further develop your understanding of some topics.

Anyone(becker users) understand how we determine the factor for annuities? Says anywhere from 360 to 160, then the example gives a 64 year old and says the factor is 260….not sure how we'd determine this based on a given age, probably something simple I am missing, please post if you know, thanks!

I might be blind but have not seen this in Becker. What page?

    R1-40

The factor comes from an IRS chart. If we have a problem on that, they would have to give us the factor.

    Question!

I just finished a simulated final exam (100 Questions) and scored a 71%. I thought i was going to score in the 30s because I don't understand a thing in REG. to be quite honest, im not even sure how i got 71 questions correct.

My exam is in 9 days..should i begin to panic and assume that i'll fail or study hard with confidence that i might pass this exam?

9 days is a good amount of time to bang out lots of MCQs and iron out those weaknesses! What chapters are you having a difficult time with? I assume you're using Becker?

    REG 80 (X3) Previous scores 59, 60

Yes Peanut, im using Becker. I'm having trouble with EVERY chapter hahah.

There is so much information to grasp and I can't seem to handle it!

Overall Corporate Taxes are difficult for me.

What are your thoughts Peanut? Am i a bust?

Gah Corp. Tax.. that was my weakness too and this is my third REG attempt, I sit Monday, I finally ironed out that weakness this passed week. Honestly for me I used Becker but I memorized all the questions…couldn't help it just the way my brain works (can't wait for AUD) So I purchased Wiley for more MCQs. You have 9 days, that can be a long time for working things out, honestly. Did you finish all the MCQs in Becker? If you finished all of Corp Tax chapter I would go back and do all the MCQs again and write your own notes on it. Just a suggestion, it worked for me, and could possibly work for you, then again like I said, this is my third freaking attempt at this beast!

    AUD 81 (X4) Previous scores 59, 72, 72
    REG 80 (X3) Previous scores 59, 60
    FAR 75 (X2) Previous score 67
    BEC 79 (X2) Previous score 58

haha Peanut. I read your previous post on your Wiley scores…very impressive. I became anxious after reading your post because my scores are not near yours.

I did do all the MCQs in Becker twice and im going to run through the Simulated Exams for a bit and then switch over to Wiley and bang out MCQs till i can't read anymore haha.

Thanks for the comforting words! I will maximize those 9 days! Appreciate it Peanut! (i prefer almonds)

CPAer—71% is a solid score on Becker, especially 9 days away. Maybe you understand the material better than you think? Either way like Peanut said, 9 days is a good amount of time to really hammer out more questions and get better prepared. REG is a beast, work your butt off this next week and you will walk into the exam well prepared.
