AnonymousInactiveI am spending 10 days doing a review. I used the Becker Final Review last time but it expired. It was good. Now I'm doing my own review. Scared.

AnonymousInactiveAug 26th for me—currently in “final review” mode, this week breaking it up by Tax and Bus law, with more time geared towards tax as its more heavily weighted. Did really well on my Becker questions last night, then switched over to Wiley and got my rear end handed to me, which I feel like I needed! Definitely will be putting in plenty of time on the wiley test bank before next week. Can't even say I feel more or less prepared as the last time—its really hard to tell, but I will continue to practice as much as possible and read over notes and difficult conceps in the hopes that they stick. I can't help but get discouraged knowing no matter how hard I study, I won't be prepared for the Sims, but at the same time I can just prepare myself as best as possible for the MC and hope that those are my saving grace.
Of course as of yesterday I am getting sick—I figure I should be full fledge zombie by this weekend, just in time! Afraid to take any drugs too cause I need to stay sharp. Not that it should make a big difference—but with this exam every little point counts so even if my cloudy head costs me only 1 point it will suck.
@Allyson—I almost went with the Becker final review but opted out for the Wiley test bank since its cheaper and I've yet to hear anything good about it—do they put in additional questions on there and then just condense the material into a more manageable summary? Not that I will switch now, but just in case there is a round 3 for me, which I plan to do everything in my power to avoid. Thanks for breaking the silence in here…I am definitely rooting for you, as well as so many others on this forum(yankee, kb24 in her job hunt, jomarie, etc)…we can do this, and we will do this!

FIN 78
Reg 66, 72
Although I scored above average on MC, I bombed the simulations. I almost left them all blank. Becker provided only 10 simulation but I've done about 40 now with Wiley and others. I just want to know If anyone has heard or had had a simulation about Law, or ethics, or any other topics excluding taxes? I just want to use my time efficiently….Having taken this test twice i feel lost and kind of desperate. I am taking my test for the 3rd tine on the 31st of this month.
Your feedback will be appreciated!
Thanks!

AldogParticipantp.s. whats up @Baked …73 S*CKS-lol goodluck in a couple weeks…so my feelings after lookin at this breakdown is sorry REG 5-7, but im gonna stick with dominating REG 1-4 as its like just ab all i need to pass (i shoot for 75 hah) so far im using the just do questions apporach, one thing i was wondering is how much time if any do u put into the actual tax forms? i mean, just by real life experiecen i find theyre pretty detailed and readable so if theres one on exam cnt see it being that bad…idk im just starting, im sure ill have more questions
goodluck final reviewing brotha

AnonymousInactive@aldog, good to seeya man. Looks like you have followed my exact footsteps so far in terms of exam order and passing scores—I hope for your sake you don't try and pull a 73 on REG! You have the right idea, and its what I did for my first showdown with Reg—I focused mainly on R1-4, but don't exactly blow off R5-7. Its a lot of info so get a feel for those last 3 chapters just because you will definitely see a nice chunk of multiple choice from there on the exam—but I will say Becker prepares you really well there(the questions on the exam are easy compared to the ones in R5-7). In fact, the last half of R4(business structures) is lumped into the Bus law portion as well, so really you're going to want to nail down R1-3, and the first half of R4. FYI—definitely do the anicillary questions for R4(Becker also has some quick youtube videos so you can get notes for those sections).
As for the tax forms—I didn't bother with em even though many had strongly suggested it, simply cause I didn't have the time to(you can only cover so much ya know?), and it didn't effect me either way. Focus your time elsewhere would be my advice—lots of questions and heavy emphasis on R1-4. Be ready for some ridiculous sims bro—they are what did me in on my exam…they still haunt me in my sleep at night haha. I am hoping to slay this exam this time so hopefully I won't be taking in October again with you.

AnonymousInactiveI would welcome a tax form TBS. All you have to do is follow the instructions and fill in the blanks. The AICPA examiners won't let us off that easy.
