    @jomarie,

    Ok….you are almost at game time. How do you feel? Trust me, mcq's is the best way to go for preparing. One good reason is that you want to use the minimum time for the mcq's so that you have more than ample time for the sims.

    You can do this!!! You are at the finish line–yahoooooooo! I will be thinking good thoughts for you tomorrow 🙂

    @jomarie

    I feel your pain. I sit for REG on Wednesday and am about sick to death of looking at the material and working MCQs. I find myself starting to make stupid mistakes, which are primarily centered on rushing through the questions… I just want to take the exam and be done with it.

    Thank you everyone!! I feel like I'm ready to face the beast of REG. I just took a practice test on Business Law and scored an 83 and a practice test on just Sims and scored a 70. I'm going to do another practice exam and then maybe listen to some lectures on FAR since it's my next exam. I'm ready to kick some REG butt!!

    Started sitting in May 2002, on and off. But since 2008 I've been nonstop and my scores are....

    Thank you everyone!! I did MCQs until about 3pm, took a nap with my little one, and haven;t looked at any Regulation stuff until now. I'm going to look over some notes then go to bed.

    @jomarie—good luck! I know the pre-exam butterflies must be in full effect right now, go in confident and EXPECTING nightmare sims—it will soften the blow a bit when you get to them, then you can beat the heck out of them with your brain.

    @yankeeaccountant—been reading your posts on here and definitely rooting for you, sounds like your exam was tough but passable(thanks to your preparation), hope you pulled it off, either way I envy you for being able to put REG behind you for now, hit AUD just as hard and hopefully you will be done by the 3rd week of September.

    As for me—been draggin my tail a bit lately—studying for a retake sucks. Hard not to skim over things half heartedly knowing “I already studied this stuff to death last time and it wasn't good enough”. Either way Ive gotta snap out of it—my wedding and summer vacation have officially passed its time to buckle down and review this stuff hard for my exam, which snuck up on me and is less than 3 weeks away all of a sudden!

    I just got back from REG today and wow, the sims were out of left field! MCQs were tricky but manageable and not nearly as bad as the sims. I went in with 1.5 hours so timewise, I was tracking as I planned but overall, the sim topics were obscure and things that I did not think would be tested! Even the research question took me a while to dig through the IRC.

    studied hard and was getting 80's in the Wiley test bank so I don't know what else I could've done to prepare for these sims. Really disheartened and dreading the possibility of having to retake this.

    AUD 84
    BEC 75
    REG 72, 71, 72, 83
    FAR 57, 77
    Ethics 92%

    @justwant75—Unfortunately you just described my exact experience 2 months ago. Pretty discouraging to know that the sims are such a crapshoot. Hope you dont find yourself restudying—its brutal, I know no matter what I do, I won't be ready for the sims.

    @jomarie,

    I am hoping you kill it today! You are ready! Take some advil and get plenty of water and relax b4 the exam. Give us a shout with your thoughts afterwards! Best of luck.

    @Bakedcpa,

    You have certainly had a busy summer. A joyous summer to say the least. Congrats again. Good luck with your rematch. Don't discount what you still have in your memory on the exam, at the same time, you have to keep it moving. This is your last exam, if you make yourself miserable for the next few weeks by studying, it will be soooo worth it. Keep doing the mcq's until you drop, there is no way to prep for those sims. Best defense is knowing the material so that you can get through the mcq's in good time. You can do this–come on!!!!! I am pulling for you. Thanks for your post, I hope I pulled it off too!

    @justwant75

    Best of luck..glad you have the exam behind you. Keep the faith, sounds like you prepared yourself well.
