I don't think anyone feels too confident doing the mcq for the first time. Just know they are designed to make us think and they choose tricky ones so we can practice and learn why we get it wrong.

Read all the answer choices and all the explanations as to why.

I have the Coldplay song, “Yellow” in my mind now 😉

I've seen lots of questions about the SIMS. As whenindoubt said (congratulations on finally getting thru the exam!) be prepared for anything. Do lots of MCQ to learn the material, allow plenty of time (1 1/4 – 1 1/2 hours) for the SIMS, and don't waste time freaking out at what you see.

@ CPAer – I agree with Allyson and everyone else (especially that yellow color of doom!). If you do not do well the first time through, just take the time to read why you missed it. Some of mine were being overly tired and lazy and not reading the “call of the question” as Becker states, but sometimes the wrong answers helped me more than the lectures.

@ JpgRocho – Good luck on Reg, can't wait for my attempt. If you could smack the test up a bit and leave it wounded for me, I would appreciate it.

Well, good morning everyone. I have my REG exam in about 6 hours so I'm doing some last minute cramming which involves putting on my boxing gloves ( which I filled with lead last night) to beat the hell out of REG. Super nervous due to my attempt at AUD (71) very discouraging. However, I feel like after about 6,300 multiple choice questions I may be more prepared. I will inform how it goes.. I anticipate if I get a test that I know all the answers, I will pass!!! hahahaha. Oh lord, here we go .

Good luck today! My advice would be to not even look at the material before your exam. I bet you know more than you think right now… just my two cents. I sit for REG in one week and plan to close my study books for good the day before.

I agree with Auditd0rk, except I did have a small sheet of “fact nuggets” as Jeff calls them for each of my prior exams I reviewed on exam day. I am not sure that helped much as I was feeling overwhelmed…maybe clearing your thoughts by doing something else would be best, but I know how impossible that sounds on exam day…

anybody used Rogers for REG? I used Becker last year, but I lost credit on it and its the next in line to take… but reading up on the how people dont like Becker for the 2011 changes I am opting for a different review course.

I used Becker for the initial study and am currently using the Roger Cram to prep for REG next week. I have to say that the material has “stuck” more since going through the Cram than when I went through it with Becker.
