I stand corrected…I was unaware that becker had issued a ton of updates…last I checked they had only 1 update for R6 which dealt with incorrect titles on the simulation or something like that

so getting back to your original question…the rule I was told is that anything that has been in effect for 6 months is fair game on the exam…so sounds like you need to know them both to me

Thanks for your help. I cant imagine that they actually will have a MCQ that asks what is diff. btwn 2010 and 2011 start-up expenses…..but hey after this back and forth, this fact is locked in my head

Hey guys….Im also one of the 2009 Becker users taking reg in jan 2011.

So if you had to describe briefly the things I should know vs the things I should not look at, what would you suggest?

(For example: Ive heard there will be some new areas tests but im not sure which ones. And I have also heard that some areas in ethics might be moved out?)

I'm about to start studying again now for REG. I took too much time off after I made it through Audit, and just recently found out I passed FAR in wave 2.

The only problem I had with Yaeger was the required questions written in the handout vs the lectures. In Yaeger 2010 FAR, they were different. I tried to do both by writing them down in my notes, but it through me off during my final week of studying. I started to go through the handout, but soon realized there were a lot of questions that weren't covered on the handout. I hope this is fixed for 2011. Any advice

I was using 2010 Yaeger(Wiley) material for Reg. I was wondering if there are any significant changes that I should know about with regard to the 2011 Yaeger(Wiley) material.I know the other parts changed due to IFRS and the format of the test. But is anything being added to Reg for 2011 (any new topics)?? I rather use the 2010 material instead of wasting money on 2011 version.

Can someone help me out…I'm using Becker 2011 for REG and in chapter 4 there is a part “Ancillary Materials”, called Ethics & Professional Responsibility”, I thought ethics is not on the test for 2011? It's 50 pages do I have to go through it?

That's what I thought….but there has to be a reason for them to keep it in the text.

It's my first time going through Reg and I have no idea what to expect through the material Becker provides. I'm only in chapter 3 and I feel like I'm taking too long to learn each chapter. Does anyone have any feedback on which chapters (out of the 7) are the hardest and should require more time. I'm finding chapter 3 really boring zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

I am taking REG on 1/8/2011, the first 4 chapters comprise nearly 2/3 of the exam be sure to know individual, corps, pships and anything out of the first 4 chapters cold. The remaining chapters are comprise the remaining 1/3 which includes some “common sense” business law questions. I would concentrate heavily on the first 4 chapters. Also, if you are using becker you can tell which topics are going to be the hardest hit as they have the most questions.

I just read Jeff's post on the score release thread where he said that there is only one score release date in March?.. So all scores will be released together? Does anyone know any more details on that? Herbert – I also can't wait to hear candidates responses – Reg is my last exam (hopefully :oP )
