    The thing with leaving time for the SIMS is really an open ended question. When you get to the SIMS after your 3 MCQ testlets you will have left whatever time it took you to do the 3 prior testlets less the 3 hour time limit. I read a lot of people suggest 1:30 minutes to do the SIMS. So thats 50% of the 3 hours. Which means u have 1:30 minutes to do 72 MCQ's plus whatever review u need to do before you move from one testlet to another. In other words can u do 72 questions at a clip of 75 seconds per question on average? Its all hypothetical, Your not gonna rush through MCQ's just to get to the SIMS with 1:30 left, just coz folks are saying that was their experience are you? at least I hope u don't. Focus on the MCQ's thats the part you can control in terms of difficulty and at worst a 25% chance of getting it right even if you guess. The SIMS are the SIMS.. its a crap shoot. NAIL the research Question for sure. You have to get that one right. That will leave 5 out of 6 SIMS to worry about… stay focused and remain calm nobody ever passed panicking. I think everyone comes out of REG just completely beat down. Good Luck

    Hi Can anybody tell how to effectively search for research question? I am not able to find answers easily. Is there a technique?

    If you go to the AICPA tutorial it gives you the basics for answering a research question and searching the literature. In general, I think it's easier to do a Boolean search rather than a search of the table of contents for REG. I used the split screen feature so I didn't have to keep flipping back and forth between the question and the literature. Using key words from the question I did a Boolean search and then scanned through the titles of the sections that came up for the one that most likely addressed my question. If I didn't find what I was looking for or if too many items came up, I revised my search by adding or subtracting key words, and/or changing to a synonym. Once I'd identified the section, I went through the paragraphs looking for my particular question. Even when I found one that seemed to fit, I scanned through the rest of the section to make sure another paragraph didn't fit better. I can't say this is true in all cases but in all three exams I've had with a research question the wording of the paragraph I needed was specific and close enough to the wording of the question that I was positive I'd found the right one.

    Good luck tomorrow.

    I took all 4 sections this test window so I did almost nothing but study every day all day for over 3 months. During that time reading and posting on this forum was how I took a break. No one I know has a clue how hard this exam is, and everyone just assumes I passed because I studied so hard. This was often frustrating, and it helped to read about other people's experiences going through the exact same thing I was. There were a few times when I posted a question and really appreciated the help I received. Now that I'm just waiting on my scores, I'm happy to help others if I can.

    @kb24. Man you are a true champion. You took all the parts in one window, that is awesome. It needs some strength and will power to do so. Great!!

    I am assuming you used Becker. Regarding Ethics and Professional Responsibilities (Ancillary Material on Chapter 4). I have studies the entire chapter and did the multiple choice in the software. Do you think that will be enough as lot of people say that it is an important topic and must be done well as it has 15% weightage. What you suggest from your experience?

    @killaking I did not take 2nd exam as I was told that these exams don't reflect actual exam. I am revising for tomorrow.

    @DhirenSarin

    It sounds like you've done quite a bit on this topic. Whether or not it's enough depends on how well you actually know the material. Some people do a lot of questions but start memorizing and regurgitating the answers from repetition. If you feel comfortable that you understand everything, you're probably OK.

    I have been reading everyone's posts and it seems like we have all come to the same conclusion that the REG simulations STUNK!!! There were a couple of the TBS's that I looked at and my head went sideways! I pray pray pray that I passed. I have been fortunate enough to pass the other 3 on the first go-round, so I wonder if my luck runs out here *sniff*

    Best of luck to everyone and I hope you all did well!

    Hi all – I just came from REG Exam. Becker did not prepare me well for simulations. First testlet wasOK. I completed in 30 minutes and had 2 questions marked which I am not sure. The second testlet started with few one liner questions so I thought that I may not have performed well in testlet one – The first three questions were really bad. No idea. There were few marked (6-7) and third testlet was manageable.

    I am only confident on 3 simulations including the research one. 2 simulations were really bad. One out that was not covered by Becker with any seriousness. I am afraid. Please advise. Simulations made me feel bad coming out of exam.
